When do latch issues stop?

Hello my baby will be 3months next week and it seems like his latch is getting worse. I've been to see 4 LCs and none have helped, one called my baby a weirdo. I don't know how to fix it and it hurts all the time. Any advice?

Has baby been checked for tongue and lip ties? It's not always obvious. My son's was diagnosed at 8 weeks and we saw many people previously who said he didn't have ties. Our last hope was a pediatric ENT who diagnosed both a lip tie and a posterior tongue tie and corrected them with a laser.

  • I second the above. The first 2 LCs I've seen completely missed both ties. The 3rd and 4th said they were minor ties. Then I went to a pediatric dentist and they confirmed both ties were pretty moderate. I'd recommend seeing a Pediatric dentist or ENT, whatever is the norm for your area.
