First birthday registry?

Hey Momma's!

I'm sure we are all thinking of our LO's first birthdays!!  Due to the distance between families we'll be doing 2 birthday parties (ugly sweater themed).  For the party that is further away I need a way to kindly ask for money or small gifts, since we wont have room in our car to bring everything back....how can i do this?

Also--are you creating a registry for the first birthday?  Some people attending the party have yet to meet my son (due to distance) and i was thinking of creating a registry...but is that odd?

    People rarely looked at my registry when I was prego so I think if there are specific things he needs, just put it in the invite or you can tell them that if they ask what to buy him.
