Positive hpt, negative at doctors office

Good morning!

So I posted a few days ago that I had a positive hpt and got started on progesterone. I saw my doctor today just to talk about some things and they did an in office pregnancy test. The test was negative. This is exactly what happened to me when I had my miscarriage. I had all these positive hpt and their test was negative. So my doc said that since I tested before I missed my period that I could have gotten false positives. The lines on my frer are getting darker each day. And I'm just freaking out because I feel like this is a repeat of last time. I felt like I wasn't taken seriously by their test was negative. How frustrating. Anyone ever get a false positive( or several false positives?)

    Are they doing bloodwork to confirm?

    Yeah they are. My doctor said if it comes back positive she will do another. I'm so nervous because it is the same thing that happened to me with my mc in June. I went in after having positive hpts and theirs was negative.

    So my doctor called and said my beta was 93. She said that it's a low positive, but we did it at 3w2d. She said she wants to check it next week.

    Does anyone remember what their beta was around this time. I'm 4 weeks today. With my miscarriage we checked my beta at 3w 5d and it was 99. So it's around the same which makes me nervous.

    And I know that the single number doesn't mean anything. I'm just curious what everyone else had

    Unfortunately, what our betas were has no correlation to yours. Every pregnancy and every person is different.  With that said mine was in the one thousands at 4+3wks.

    I had a positive hpt at 3w4d. Betas done at 4w0d were 109. 4w3d were 539. 6w3d were 40,239. My dr was concerned with the first number but very happy with all the others. These numbers are so different for everyone it's hard to judge anything by them. Good luck!
