I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and I keep feeling little flutters in my belly however they're like right below my rib on my left side. Isn't that too high to feel the baby at this point? Or am I really feeling the baby?
I'd say that's way too high. You uterus is only just above your pubic bone. That's not to say it's not possible to feel things at this stage. I felt some whirring feelings that I imagine to be quickening, despite how early it is, but they are most certainly in my pelvic area, so the aren't gas, although it may just be my uterus expanding.
Agree that's a bit too high, but did it happen more than once? I'm 14 weeks and I've felt movement but honestly if I hadn't experienced it before I would have missed it, it was so subtle at this point. You'll reach a point where you'll definitely know after that first really strong movement. So exciting!
While that feeling is too high to be baby, it could be from all the shifting that has already begun. It always amazes me how our bodies adapt and smoosh organs and intestines around to make room for the growing uterus and baby!
Depending on your body type, fat distribution (don't worry, I'm obese so I can say the word "fat"), and placement of the placenta, you could possibly feel the baby earlier or later than most. At this stage, it is nothing to worry about if you can/can't feel definite baby movement. It really does just feel like a gentle flutter (like butterfly wings!) at first. I felt my baby at my last U/S because the tech kept jiggling everything around and I had just had a sugary drink (ooops!) so baby was dancing up a storm. I saw baby like spazz out and simultaneously felt the tell-tale flutter. Had I not seen it happening, I probably would've just thought it was weird gas. But it was pretty low, like below the belly button. I have felt it since, but only while meditating/praying with a calm, quiet body and mind in deep introspection. Sometimes, even when I know it is just my uterus stretching or gas, I still smile when I feel little movements, knowing that there is life in me, even if I can't fully feel the baby's movements yet. Definitely something fun to look forward to in the coming months!

@Bltbear82 Yes! It's been happening all night and keeps continuing all morning! I also think it's too high but maybe it is my organs moving!
Top of my uterus is only just barely below my belly button, but baby is still super low in there, maybe just above the pubic bone. While at my u/s yesterday, I could feel the kicks while I watched baby move. I would definitely say that's too high to be baby.
I'm pretty sure I felt my baby move on Tuesday for the first time. It actually made me laugh out loud randomly out of nowhere because it felt funny. Definitely a fluttery feeling in a small spot down and to the right of my belly button. I've never felt anything like it before. Every US I've had shows the baby in that area, and I have seen the baby moving around at each US. I remember I had a couple of Reese's peanut butter cups a few minutes before it happened, so I think the baby likes them haha. Haven't felt anything since though.
I say yes you can most definitely, this is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm coming up to 15 weeks and have felt little flutters since 14 weeks! Not everyday but they are there. It's just below my belly button to the left I feel mine. :-)
I've felt my baby three times now. Two have been just little flutters that I instantly thought were the baby and the third was a time I got startled and I felt my baby do a quick jerk- like they were startled too! The tech I most recently saw said the baby is moving a lot but it was "not very likely" that I was feeling the baby. I sort of rolled my eyes at her. I know what I felt.
I am 14+5 and I have definitely been feeling movement for at least a week. The strongest one was around 6:30 this morning as I was laying there half asleep. I had an appointment on Wednesday and my doctor asked if I have felt movement yet and said its definitely possible that that's what I'm feeling
I started to feel the baby right around 13 weeks. I was sitting in the airport reading a book and was bent in half at the waist, leaning over with my elbows on my knees. My jeans and belt were digging into my low belly, right above my public bone, and the baby was in there getting mad at being squished! :-)
