2nd IVF Question

Hello ladies. Quick question. We are on our 2nd IVF try and have just started the process. I'm on birth control but this time with the birth control they have me on testosterone patches. Anyone have to do this? I am labeled DOR's and read that testosterone patches help with egg quality. Anyone have any more insight to this? I appreciate any information you can give me.

I don't have any experience with testerone patches but I remember your name from one of the other boards (either TTTC or infertility) so I just wanted to say good luck! I also was diagnosed with DOR and responded poorly but then had a good response month and got pregnant after a FET - 6 weeks today. Fx for you.

@kristylang I did get pregnant with IVF. My first round I only had 1 mature to transfer - bfn. Second round same story - bfn. 3rd cycle we did a natural cycle (no drugs) and retrieved one - it didn't make it to transfer. My 4th cycle, I had I think 12 retrieved and 8 fertilize. 4 made it to day 5. We transferred 2 and froze 2- bfn. 5th cycle we transferred our two frosties and got our BFP! I go in today to find out how many we are having.

It was such a hard road. More feeling depressed and hopeless than hopeful. BUT we kept at it. I'm not sure why this cycle worked or how I ended up finally producing so many eggs. I was on prednisone for this whole cycle and I think that was a huge helping factor for me (I have a few autoimmune issues so the predinsone I think helped my immune system accept the little beans) FX for you. Do whatever you need to take care of yourself during this time. Sending you big hugs.

Ugh. It's been a rough couple of days. On Monday we saw the gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole or heartbeat. Doctor said he expected to see more and suggested that it may be a blighted ovum. After lots of crying and research I now know that it is way too early to know that and I'm pretty pissed off at my doc for suggesting it so quickly. We go back Friday for another ultrasound. We keep going back and forth between being hopeful and feeling devastated. Thank you for checking on me. Where are you in your cycle??

I will pray for you the next couple of days. I wish you nothing but the best. I stop the pill and the testosterone patches on the 25th and begin shots on the 30th I believe. We have our appointment on Monday to review the shots and all that fun stuff. They've changed some meds up so I'm praying we get pregnant for a miracle Christmas pregnancy. Keep me updated!!!! I've been thinking about you.
