How to handle being pregnant with #2

Hi everyone,
Seeking some advice, last couple days I've had very light spotting (pinkish-mucusy - TMI sorry) and although I am experiencing zero cramping I am still worried. ย I do not see my OB until Nov 30, she has ordered blood work to review my levels, but I won't hear from her until Tuesday. ย Usually the pink is noticeable then gone after a wipe. ย I notice I get the pink mucus after my DS has hopped in my lap. ย Anyone else experience this?

  • Could you have agitated your cervix during sex? Did you call your doctor and ask?

  • Yes, I did talk to my Dr and she did say that sex could have aggravated my cervix, its just unnerving. ย I suppose we will know more on Tuesday when she calls me with the results of my blood test. ย My DS loves to hop in my lap and he doesn't quite understand yet, so I was wondering if that could cause "aggravation" as well :/
  • I don't think your DS hopping in your lap would cause it. Everything is pretty protected in there. Spotting is pretty common, though nerve-wracking, in 1st tri. FX you get good news on Tuesday!

  • Hoping all is well. I agree with PP. at this point were all very early and the babe is protected within your pelvis. Around 12 weeks it becomes large enough where it is not entirely protected by your pelvis and I would worry a little more about DS jumping on you, but at this point the spotting is more than likely related to something else.
  • Thank you all! ย Spotting has nearly stopped and Im still in no pain which eases my nerves. ย I still have my symptoms, sore breasts, nausea and increased appetite. ย H&H 9 months to you all!
