Spotting

I know it's supposedly normal but I just need reassurance... Some very light brown spotting over past 2 days. First ultrasound isn't scheduled until 11/30... I'm 6w2d today. Previous mc at about 7w back in 2011... But i never had any bleeding or spotting then - there was just no sac development on ultrasound and so they did a d&c. My question is - at what point do you call doc? Thanks!

    Spotting can mean nothing or it can mean something. When I had spotting, I called the doc immediately. It gave me piece of mind. Every doctor is different though and may not be open to an appt unless spotting is accompanied by other symptoms.

    I always call the dr when I have spotting. She always tells me it's ok unless I'm bleeding red blood or have lots of cramping. I would call your doctor regardless, she may have you come in and that will comfort you the most.

    Especially with a history of MC, it's worth it to call your doc. I had spotting last week and they were able to get me an early ultrasound to just be sure all was ok in there.

    I agree with pps. It sounds normal, but call and inform your dr. They will want to know if you have bleeding, even if they decide its normal and don't bring you in, especially given your history. You may even get to see your LO and have reassurance everything is ok if they do an us.

    I think spotting of any kind is reason enough to call the doc.

    It's totally normal and happens to a ton of pregnant women. That being said you should always call for any kind of spotting/bleeding. They might even do an early u/s and you can feel completely relieved!

    I had spotting for the past 2 weeks like a brown. Ob says aslong as is not red you should be ok sometimes we have old blood and our body gets its out. But my last pregnancy i was actually bleeding with blood clots and my baby was fine the doc never a found the reason bleeding.
