In my experience, (nursed for 21mo) milk was very different and had lots of stages... It wouldn't surprise me if you had different tastes on each side though I've only tried once, several mo into bfing at recommendation of LC. (Not that I don't think it's bad to try it so you know at some point)
I wouldn't be too worried at this point. Your body is still getting things ready.
I can't say that I've tasted what has leaked. I'll ask SO if he's up for a taste test since he's in that area more than I am. Plus, my mouth won't reach anyway.
I went to breastfeeding class at my hospital and she said the taste will change depending on what you eat so maybe you had some salty stuff? Lol! Also colostrum is supposed to eat sweet cause that's the taste babies prefer. It's possible your body is just getting stuff ramped up. I won't leak enough to try at sate lol and like PP said I'm not that talented I can reach that far!
