Contracting 3-4 minutes and 1 cm!

I've been contracting every 3-4 minutes and they're mild to medium pain. We went to the hospital and they said I was 1 cm dilated. I'm just trying to get things moving along! We went for a mile walk and had sex! What else can I do?!

    Bounce on a birth/yoga ball?

    One thing that my birth class teacher suggested was sitting on the toilet backwards with a pillow on the tank you can rest your arms/head on. The idea is that sitting on the toilet is something your body is used to "opening up" for, and it can help with dilation.

    OP- did you end up having your LO? I'm having the exact same experience right now! But pain isn't progressing and neither is dilation. Irritating!
