We are not pregnant yet. We will start trying at the beginning of the year! This will be our first and we are confused, excited, scared, happy, ...I'm sure you all know the emotions all too well! I am having difficulties locating a doula or midwife though! Do any of you have any advice on locating one? Also, any health insurance advice is welcomed. I've been hung up on 5...FIVE times by Lighthouse Insurance Company after asking about coverage for a midwife. Thank you ladies! No mean comments please.
Re: Advice welcomed on locating a midwife/doula and about insurance that will cover a midwife/doula
Doulas don't tend to be covered. In my area they cost around $600-$1000. You can probably wait until you're pregnant to interview one and find one you like.
