Blood spot at 28 weeks

Today when I went to the toilet I noticed I had the tiniest spec of blood in my pants. In was so tiny but I noticed it. I went to the hospital to ease my mind and they monitored babies heartbeat and said they were happy with everything. I have to go back tomorrow to monitor the heart rate as it had a slight drop near the end of the 30 mins they watched it. But we're happy for me to go home. With it being such a small spot they didn't do an internal exam and have had no blood spots since. But it has really unsettled me. What could possibly be the cause of a teeny bloody spot. Blood vessels??? Has anyone had anything similar and could ease my mind until tomorrow? Xx

    Because when I rang my midwife to tell her about the spot she told me to go to the hospital for a check up.

    One thing Iv noticed about this app, you ask for advice but instead of giving it to you ALOT of people tend to criticise. I did exactly as my doctor told me too

    They normally will ask you to come in for any type of bleeding. You did what your doctor told you & they've obviously found something notable re: the heart rate to warrant you going back. I wouldn't worry unduly just yet though. You're going back tomorrow, direct your questions to the healthcare professionals at your hospital. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to answer your questions. Don't let the anxiety get to you.

    Weird suggestion but could it be from a hemorrhoid? You could probably tell by the positioning of the blood spot but they can bleed a bit.

    I had this just this week (also 28 weeks) and it happened while I was at my doctor's office which was really convenient. He did a pelvic exam and I had a mild yeast infection that seemed to be just starting up. He gave me a prescription for 3 Diflucan and it cleared right up, no more blood! I never had more than the little spot that I had at the doc's. I had no other symptoms from the yeast infection, so could be the same for you unless they already checked that!
