3rd trimester ultrasound

Ok ladies this is my 4th little one and seems as if things have changed a lot since my 4yr old was born.... do we know when they do 3rd trimester ultrasounds? I have an appointment monday but just getting curious, want a really good 3d pic but I know when things are getting tight it's hard to get a good pic

    If you don't have any complications or risk factors, they don't normally do third trimester ultrasounds but you can pay to have an extra one. If you choose to get an elective one, you could call to see when they suggest you come in for the best pics. Because I am advanced maternal age this time around, l get one at 28, 32, and 36 weeks. It seems a little excessive to me but I already hit my deductible so I'm just going with it. She originally wanted to do one every two weeks but she agreed to every four.

    I get an ultrasound every 2 weeks for the next 6 weeks and than once a week until he's delivered... High risk and they want to monitor baby closely... Is the only benefit to having a high risk pregnancy!!

    Like PP said, unless you're high risk for they're following something specific, I don't think they typically do 3rd trimester ultrasounds. I know I wasn't going to get one until I recently developed hypertension so now they're going to follow the fluid levels and I have one scheduled for 35 (almost 36) weeks. 

    Me: 35, Hubbie: 33
    Married DH: 2013
    DD: Dec 2015
    BFP 8/14/17 --> Due 4/27/2018

    I'm not high risk of any kind and have had no complications and I'm getting one at 32wks!
    This is also my 4th!
    How old is your youngest? I'm 29 weeks and I love my little two year old and his silly personality but I'm becoming so exhausted I hate I don't have the energy to play like I used to.

    My OB does one at 32 weeks, like @clabgust, but then that's typically the final one until delivery unless there are complications/high risk/etc.

    My ob will do one at 35 weeks! Not sure it will be 3D though. It will be to check baby is ready to make appearance when it's time and that fluid levels and everything looks good!
