July 2016 Moms

Intro

Hello, thought I'd introduce myself before jumping in.

Just got my BFP this morning, looks like my due date will be July 18ish. I'm 28, DH is 27, and we have a daughter who will be 2 in a couple of months. She's pretty amazing if I do say so myself, and I'm a little nervous for number 2 because I don't know if we'll get so lucky to have such an easygoing kid again!

I had a pretty rough pregnancy last time, and an emotionally/physically traumatizing experience with DD's delivery (failed induction after 2 days of labour, ending in c-section). I won't go into detail here but I am in a place where I can talk about all of the things that happened, and it's actually become quite healing to talk about, so if anyone has questions or wants to talk I am here.

All that to say - I have a lot of anxieties about pregnancy and delivery this time around. I promise I won't be a huge downer to the board, I just felt like I needed to share that! I'm hopeful that I will have a different experience this time as I know every pregnancy is different, but preparing myself for some of the same difficulties. We'll see!

Looking forward to getting to know you all

Thank you for this! I hope that's the case for me. Even if it's not, it might be easier to get through this time, since I already know what I am capable of. Not to mention I know how DD was worth every bad moment, so even if it sucks again I know the little person we get at the end of it will make up for all the difficuties.

The people I know who had different pregnancies, their pregnancies tended to get worse each time which isn't super encouraging to me, but I'm hoping I'll be a special snowflake, haha. Were yours like that? Or were the easier one(s) after the harder one(s)? (does that sentence even make sense?)
