I'm still POAS but I'm still very early - 4 weeks today. I'm going to stop now that I've officially missed my period. I don't think you need to continue to take them, especially if it makes you more anxious until your appointment.
It could be that your urine is diluted. I'd take one tomorrow and then call your doctor if you're still worried. I'm still POASing because I'm also at 4 weeks today and I have 30 cent tests and it's fun to see the line get darker. I have had some days where it seems lighter than the day before, I just chalk it up to level of urine concentration.
I got my BPF, went out got a digital, had another BFP, and then went and bought EVEN MORE TESTS!!!
I am so paranoid something will happen but unless you have bleeding your status isnt going to change. Dont worry too much about the line colors. If you went from a FREP to a 'normal' test then they could be lighter due to sensitivity. It could also be the dye lot in the factory. Light or dark, it's still a BFP!!
It's hard to believe this early because symptoms may be super mild and there's no 'proof' other than this stick!
Sometimes you can have what is known as the "hook effect." I'm not sure how far along you may be far enough along to be getting the hook effect. If that's the case, you'll get a darker line if you dilute your urine some.
If you're not very far along your urine may be too diluted when you tested. Also some tests have less dye than others and such as normal variation within a brand.
It isn't really a cause for concern unless the tests continue to get lighter over time and concentrating/diluting (depending on hook effect or not) doesn't help.
HPTs are pretty binary. Yes you're pregnant. No you're not. They aren't really meant to tell you how much hCG there is. Also, normally by the time you'd get significantly lighter/negative tests you'd have other symptoms: bleeding and/or severe cramping and vanishing symptoms. Just like it takes awhile for your hCG to go up from the time you get pregnant it also takes awhile for hCG to go back to pre-pregnancy levels if a pregnancy ends.

I have tested 4 times and now I am out of tests...but I'm having a hard time convincing myself that I don't need to go buy more! Ha I'm also very early only at 4 weeks 2 days. So I'm also nervous to stop testing but this post helped. I'm going to try not to buy more tests wish me luck! Ha
The reason I'm peeing, should have specified is that I found out I was pregnant on day 3 of what seemed like a normal period in addition to horrible pain that we think may have been a burst cyst. So far, this pregnancy has been anxiety provoking as hell. I've had two beta hcgs and I did double, but I'm so stinkin anxious.
I peed on 7 sticks... Those digital ones with the date predictors were the best. First it said 1-2 weeks, then 2-3 weeks, then 3+. That's as high as it goes, but watching them go up was satisfying. The dye tests are less accurate from what I've read because sometimes there is more or less dye, tests get old, and anything other than FMU is less concentrated. If I were you I would probably stop testing though. It sounds like it won't give you answers at this point and that your doctor will give you a way better idea of what's going on and what to expect. Sorry you're going through this. I hope the doctor can ease your mind with the next round of labs.
My last pregnancy mc at 8w so I've been unbelievably paranoid this time round. Have my first scan at 7w (next week) but until then to keep my mind at ease I was doing weekly digital tests that tell u how far along. Just put my mind at ease as I could see my HCG was actually climbing each week. Mind you, it rises at different rates for different ppl so will not always give you the result u want. Worked for me though. I'm now reading 3+w (so really 5+w). Seems to have worked for me!
He is a family medicine doc but he has delivered over 200 babies. He saved us from a couple of trips to OB triage with my last pregnancy. Seriously if I didn't have him I would be a nervous mess. I literally just woke him up and asked him if lower back cramps were normal.

Nice! Your own personal on-call. Are you going to get a home Doppler (even though it's only safe to use once a week or so?)

We had one last time that we borrowed from a friend but I am trying to be more relaxed with this pregnancy. We will see.
