10 weeks and symptoms fading?

So, I'm 10 weeks and 2 days today and I had my ultrasound a week ago at 9 weeks and 1 day and the doctor said everything looked great, baby was on perfect track for my lmp and the babies heartbeat was 115. After reading everyone's post, 115 seems low to me for being 9weeks? Has anyone else experienced this? Also, over the last couple days my symptoms have started to fade. My morning sickness isn't nearly as bad as it has been and I have more energy all of a sudden. I'm trying not to worry, but I need some reassurance that I'm not the only one experiencing this during this week. My boobs are still extremely sore and I've started to get headaches. Any other similar experiences out there? Should I call my doctor? i do have another appointment next week (12th) and another US the following week (19th) I just don't know if I should wait that long. I have no bleeding so maybe I'm just freaking for no reason, but this is our rainbow baby and I'm terrified....

Please help? Any words and advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you ladies!

Hi meg. So funny I'm actually 10 weeks and 2 days today also! Weeks 6-9 were really really rough for me. I had nausea all day vomit at least once a day, no appetite and just generally felt lousy. A day or two a go the nausea started to fade, no vomiting and feeling a little better. I think symptoms fading around 10 weeks is "normal" as we get to the end of our first trimester. I just hope I continue to feel better. If your doctor didn't say anything about the heart rate I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, although I know it's hard not to worry. Hope this helps and goodluck!!

  • I'm currently 9w6d and I've also noticed my symptoms gradually fading (especially the morning sickness and fatigue!) and being replaced with headaches. You're not the only one! I think you would be okay waiting until your next appointment (just my opinion) since your doc said baby looked healthy at last appointment and you're not experiencing any bright red spotting. I think it's normal to worry about our babes! Hang in there momma!
  • I'm 10 weeks 1 day, and the last 4 days the nausea is better! My appetite is a little better, and I have a headache right now lol
I saw my midwife last week, and used my Doppler this morning, and everything is good with baby. Don't stress! I'll be thinking and praying for you too :)

  • Im turning 10 weeks tomorrow, nausea is better then it was, fatigue is still there however, but the cramping is much better. I also had crazy headaches all week so Im happy to hear im not the only one having that!!
Seeing my doctor next friday for 2nd meeting.
Like other said I think symptoms fading is just transition to 2nd trimester? No reason to stress I think :)
  • Oh phew! That is what I figured, but like @Monica Mossad weeks 6-9 were really rough for me too and for it all to all of a sudden almost stop had me worried... Thank you for all of the kind words and advice it really does help! :-) Bring on 2nd semester! Thanksgiving can't get here soon enough!
  • I know it's hard not to worry at every little thing.

Just try to remind yourself, as far as you know, you're still pregnant. Take it a day at a time.

(You know yourself best - if you think a doppler would help, I am all for that - as long as you are patient with yourself in how long it might take or there being some times hwen you may not find a heart beat - especially in these beginning weeks)

  • FWIW, hCG peaks in the 9-12 week time frame and then actually starts to go back down. One of the potential culprits of many symptoms is the rapid rise in hCG, our bodies try to adjust and simply can't keep up. If your body was responding to the rapid increase with the symptoms, they may slow if levels are tapering off and your body is finally able to adjust and catch up.

This. I totally sympathize, OP! As much as all the uncomfortable symptoms suck, there is some reassurance in knowing they're there and using them as a signal that your body is doing what it's supposed to do. But they probably will come and go. Once the baby gets bigger and you can start to feel it move, that will provide ongoing reassurance that things are OK. As with so many other things about pregnancy, the waiting is the hardest part...

  • I had a horrible 3.5 weeks to 8 weeks. So much my labs were all off and my blood sugar was so low. Now 8 weeks has came and I've felt pretty good, knock on wood....LOL. I put sea bands on and not sure if that did anything. 8 weeks I had my ultrasound healthy little baby. So I'm like taking this with whatever is and saying this is GREAT. Week 7 I thought I was going to be in the hospital. My Blood Sugar with food was only in the 50s and I was getting cramps in my legs. To next discover my Potassium was off. This week I've been able to eat and drink, even get in a little more exercise :) hoping mine started early and is ending early.
