Sleeping

My baby is a roller and I just read that it is okay for babies who roll to sleep on their stomach. He is 17 weeks today. I still don't feel comfortable with this idea.

Thoughts anyone?

Re: Sleeping

  • I believe you're still supposed to put them to sleep on their backs, but if they roll onto their belly on their own it's not a big deal.

So if they roll on their own during the night, that's okay?

  • We put our little one in the magic Merlin sleep suit and that's been working great. We put her down on her back and she doesn't roll and pretty much sleeps through the night.

It's perfectly ok. I'm the children's hospital safe sleep expert. As long as they roll themselves over you don't have to keep going back in and turn them into their backs. A great question to ask!
