Hi ladies ! I'm scheduled for an induction on Wednesday but really was hoping LO would come naturally . I was wondering if anyone has used pineapple as a natural induction remedy & was successful or not. Stories , tips, or lessons learned would be great, thanks !
I had a friend who swore by drinking pineapple just and bouncing lightly on an exercise ball. Myself I swear by the massage I had a day and a half before I went into labor! Good luck!
I had a lot of pineapple and still pregnant. It didn't do anything for me. I also walk a lot, eat lots of chilli, sit on my ball etc, tried everything but nothing works. Even the sweep was unsuccessful :-( also, my MW said not to bounce on ball as I am likely to squash baby, but to rotate and rock on it instead.
I ate pineapple and drank pineapple juice and it never worked! I ended up getting induced at 41+1. I've heard it helps dilate (which I was a 3 for 3 weeks) but not start contractions or any real labor.
I am overdue by two days. I do a lot of walking with my dogs, hours on end. Still, baby is not much engaged and my posterior cervix is still high up and closed.
I ate pineapple several days before LO arrived, but I ate it a lot throughout my pregnancy. I think the spicy wings I ate the night before might have helped, but I was also 4 days overdue when he decided to show up.
My understanding is that u would need to eat 7/8 pineapples with the cores in a matter of a few hours to really feel anything. Not sure if it's worth all the mouth sores u would have. Good luck mama
I drank pineapple juice with bubbly water all the time and had no idea it could possibly induce! My baby was born four weeks early. She was 6pounds 7ounces and perfectly fine, but I probably would have laid off the pineapple if I had known.
Re: Pineapple
Try walking extra, it helps.
