  • Baby Wash - Cetaphil (son has eczema and this helps with it)
    Lotion - Aveeno
Diaper Rash Cream - Boudreaux's Butt Paste (amazing!)
Diapers - Huggies (however I find this really depends on the baby - Huggies are better for poop-plosions and Pampers are better for pee-leaks)
    Wipes - Kirkland (Costco brand)

    Married - 10/10/2009

DS - Due 11/3/2012 born 9/28/2012 due to Severe Preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome

    DD - EDD 12/30/15

  • Body wash: Aveeno
    Lotion: Aveeno or Burts Bees
Diaper Rash: Baking Soda in bath water! Don't waste your money on all those creams that don't work! Coconut oil works well for after bath.
Cleaning products: Tide free and clean
    Diapers: Pampers
    Wipes: Huggies
  • Baby wash - Johnson & Johnson
    Lotion - Johnson & Johnson
    Cleaning products - nothing special
Diaper rash cream - Whatever I had from my shower, but Desitin & Bourdreaux's worked best
Diaper, wipes - Pampers diapers until size 2, then generic worked fine, I like Huggies wipes the best
  • Substance by Matter Company for all of our baby skin care products. Natural and smell absolutely heavenly.

Diapers we use cloth, but I know that my sister loves the Huggies pure and naturals.
  • @reneetsu baking soda??? Please elaborate :)
  • Soap: California baby
    Lotion: none or coconut oil
Cleaning: try to stay natural. Sometimes just vinegar and lemon EO
diaper rash cream: coconut oil is the best!
Diapers: we cloth diapered the first year, now using babyganics or up&up

  • Baby wash- Eucerin or Aveeno fragrance free
Lotion- Eucerin fragrance free or Aveeno eczema therapy
Cleaning products- on her high chair, I use babyganics fragrance free; we didn't update anything else other than ridding of extra scents. We use All Free and Clear detergent and dryer sheets.
Diaper rash cream- target brand, butt paste, usually whatever is cheapest. We actually liked coconut oil, but it broke her out.
Diaper, wipes- pampers swaddlers and pampers sensitive wipes; Honest diapers at night

Obviously... we have a very sensitive skinned child! The only fragrances we use on ourselves even is hair products, deodorant, and hand soap with extra rinses. In general, though, I've always preferred Pampers products when working in daycares.

  • I'm pretty much copying @redfallon but we use similar products.

Baby wash: Burt's Baby Bees (and sometimes add Babyganics Bubble bath but my daughter is 2. Wouldn't use that for baby)
    Lotion: Burt's Baby Bees
Cleaning products: Draft for clothes, regular fro everything else
    Diaper rash cream: A&D
Diaper, wipes: Pampers, Pampers Sensitive and sometimes Earth's Best wipes
  • Baby wash - Burt's Baby Bees or Aveeno Eczema (depends on if my LO is having an eczema flare up)
Lotion - Eucerin for Eczema (we just discovered this and it works like magic)
Cleaning products - Tide Free for all of our clothes
Diaper rash cream - I made my own out of calendula, bees wax, and coconut oil.
Diaper, wipes - Huggies for both

  • Baby Wash and Lotion: Aveeno
    Cleaning products: they vary.
Laundry Detergent: All Free and Clear
Diaper Rash Cream: Boudreaux Butt Paste
Diapers: has depended on the kid but Huggies or Pampers
    Wipes: huggies
  • Thanks ladies! Helpful!
  • I'm a FTM so I don't know how these products will work out but I got all recommendations from my friends and family who already have kids!

    Baby Wash and Lotion: Babyganics

Lotion: Babyganics- I also received Mustela massage oil at my shower from a friend who has a one year old and swears by it!

Cleaning products: I currently use Method products so I am going to stick with those unless I have a problem
    Laundry Detergent: Dreft
    Diaper Rash Cream: California Babies
Diapers: I have heard great things about Pampers swaddlers, my cousin had a bad experience with the Honest diapers (mystery rash).
    Wipes: Babyganics

  • Baby wash- honest company
    Lotion- aveno
Cleaning products- Better Life. I switched to these because I have a 4 year old that likes to help clean and these are extremely safe.
    Diaper rash cream- butt paste
Diaper, wipes- wipes Costco and diaper pamper swaddlers.

  • Wash: Aveno lavender scent when little then Honest Co ... Smells so good!
    Lotion: None
Rash cream: Boudreauxs; triple paste (by Rx or over the counter), A&D
    Wipes: varies
Diapers: Pampers Swaddlers to size 2 or 3 (they make them up to 3 now!) then Luvs for daytime & Huggies overnights.

FTM but plan on using these products because of family history of sensitivities to scents/chemicals

    Baby wash: Burts Bee's.
    Lotion: Burt's Bee's
Cleaning products: diluted bleach for kitchen and bathrooms once a week with baby far away (because no one likes germs), vinegar for daily cleaning.
Diaper rash cream: also Burt's Bee's or Bourdeaux (sp?) paste.
Diaper, wipes: trying Huggies Unscented natural wipes first. If they work I'll stick with them. For diapers we are using pocket cloths once he fits into them at 8 lbs, but he's supposed to be small so until then Pampers Swaddlers.
Also, All Free & Clear for his clothes and diapers. But will be trying Charlie's Laundry soap for the diapers if All or Tide doesn't get them clean.

Yeah, I've also heard from other mothers that Huggies are better with boys and Pampers are better with girls.  Our 2nd is a girl, so who know, we may be going with Pampers!!

We use the Huggies Overnites for her at bedtime. They don't feel wet to the touch in the morning and she pees a lot at night. We used Pampers Baby Dry and Baby Dry Extra Protection for a while and they were ok, but then they felt so wet in the morning, and then the seams would bust and the gel beads got everywhere. This happened a few times and I stopped using them and tried to find something else. I'm so glad that Huggies Overnites are working for us now.

On another thread someone mentioned that it had formaldehyde in it. But I'm sure it's fine. We were gifted nothing but J&J so we'll be using that. If baby gets irritated I'll switch to Burt's Bees.

I saw that, eww. According to a New York Times article J&J hasn't been using formaldehyde since 2014.
ETA maybe it's a product "distrust issue"?

  • My bf and i both have sensitive skin so we are just using dr. Bronners for babies, honest co diaper rash cream, coconut oil no lotion and target brand diapers ( they are chemical free like babyganics but 1/4 of the price)

We'll also use J&J if it works for baby because it's affordable. We were gifted baby magic by my grandma who used that when her daughters were babies. If necessary we'll switch to something like cetaphil since My mothers dermatologist recommends it for skin irritation.
  • I don't intend to use J&J but I did want to mention formaldehyde is a gas, so I'd question the source if they are saying formaldehyde is in a liquid state (the liquid version is called formalin).

  • Baby Wash: Johnson and Johnson
    Lotion: Vanicream
Diaper Cream: A&D and Boudreaux's Butt Paste
Wipes: Huggies One and Done (DH likes that it has more coverage for his hand)
Diapers: With DS, we used pampers early on since he was a preemie, then Luvs. I tried Target brand and they were ok, but Luvs went on sale more often. I also tried grocery store brand diapers one time since I was desperate and they were horrible. With DD, we will be using Pampers from the hospital and my baby shower, then use Luvs. We used Pull-ups at night when night training our DS.

Baby wash: honest co, Babo botanicals and sometimes Johnson &Johnson(nighttime)
    Lotion: honest co and Johnson&Johnson(nighttime)

I've found that DS loves the Johnson&Johnson nighttime products. He always says they smell good, and he does sleep well.

Cleaning products: Honest Co, Dapple and Dr. Bronner

Diaper rash cream: Boudreaux butt paste. The red tube is the only kind that worked for him. We tried everything else. It really depends on your child. I have a friend who did the baking soda in bath water and it worked wonders for her baby, but it made DS scream and get blisters. He doesn't even have sensitive skin! Coconut oil and desiring made him super itchy. The natural and yellow Boudreaux did nothing. So it's all trial and error unfortunately.

Diaper, wipes: This is also another trial and error field. DS could only use pampers swaddlers and honest co diapers. He leaked anytime he was in Huggies (snugglers??) or Luvs. Target brand didn't work for him either. Around 6 months he ended up sticking with honest co during the day and Huggies overnights.

ETA: wipes: We use Honest co and MD Moms. Same thing for sunscreen. I especially love MD moms sunscreen wipes.

  • Everyone else uses the "good" stuff...I use Target brand for everything! the diapers are amazing and priced great, the soaps and lotions are mild without sacrificing their quality... Ointments are typically Target AD unless it's really bad, then I use Boudreaux butt paste...as a PP said, its mostly trial and error, some babies are super sensitive and need special things, others are great with what ever...the only thing OP mentioned that I do not get Target brand is cleaning products. I use plain old vinegar and water...it is all natural, not that it is necessarily my goal but...it works for any and everything! It's really an all I one, from grease to glass...and I use baking soda for stuff that needs to be scoured...oh yea..and laundry soap...all free and clear when they are really little then switch to reg All...
