Good morning!
So I posted a few days ago on the mc board that I had a positive hpt and got started on progesterone. I saw my doctor today just to talk about some things and they did an in office pregnancy test. The test was negative. This is exactly what happened to me when I had my miscarriage. I had all these positive hpt and their test was negative. So my doc said that since I tested before I missed my period that I could have gotten false positives. The lines on my frer are getting darker each day. And I'm just freaking out because I feel like this is a repeat of last time. I felt like I wasn't taken seriously by their test was negative. How frustrating. Anyone ever get a false positive( or several false positives?)

Let us know what you beta is. I'm keeping my fx for you!

I think she's trying to convey that her doctor is so flippant like "IF you somehow come back pregnant then we can talk". She probably feels like her doctor is being condescending and not validating her pregnancy and worries.

My doctor actually was the same way, very big on the IF you're pregnant despite the fact that I had 3 positive home tests. It might be a liability thing, it might be a " lets not get your hopes up" thing, I'm not sure but that didn't surprise me at all.
If you went in before your missed period there's a good chance their test just wasn't sensitive enough.
The exact number doesn't matter, what matters is that it's increasing and by how much. FX for you.
