Quick Intro

Hey all - was looking for an intro thread, but didn't see one. I have been lurking for awhile, but decided to jump in. I'm Jess, I'm from NNJ, I'm a lawyer, and I have a two year old son, Christian.

I'm 7 weeks today (hey blueberry) and we just found out last week we were expecting. I had a m/c last December and we had been unable to conceive since. We did the whole reproductive specialist route, shots, IUI, nada. We decided to take a break before heading to IVF. I started acupuncture and supplements. I extended breastfed my son until 18 months, which the doctors thought might be part of our problem, but it manifested as short cycles (21 - 26 days) and low progesterone.

Anyhow, DH and I decided against testing until we knew it wasn't a cycle issue. I had spotting at 9 DPO and 10 DPO, so I thought I was out, but turns out, we weren't!

At 5w6d, my blood work showed hcg was 46,932 and progesterone was 26. I have a dating u/s tomorrow. We are so excited. And today, the reproductive specialist emailed me to ask when we were ready to start IVF
