37 weeks, baby room done, feeling no urge to nest

I am exhausted from the moment I wake up till I go to bed. Husband says I sleep fine and hardly ever move. (He is a super light sleeper) I've begun to lose my mucus plug and I'm dilated to a 1, is it strange that I'm having to real urge to nest? And is it normal to be this exhausted? I don't work due to being put into the hospital several times to stop labor contractions since I was 6 months pregnant.

Re: 37 weeks, baby room done, feeling no urge to nest

  • I haven't found the urge to nest yet either. I'm starting to do things just because it has to be done and I'll be 36 weeks on Thursday. I'm on medical leave from work because of high BP when I'm there so now that I have more time on my hands I feel like I can get stuff done.

I'm exhausted too! I started writing thank you notes for my baby shower I had last month, got through half and got so tired from just sitting at the table I had to go lay down. I take lots of breaks in between tasks and I find that helps a lot.

Between working full time, my very active almost 2 year old, and a husband coming off a busy time with his business I've been exhausted a lot of the time. I wish I was nesting as my living room currently looks like a bomb went off.

    ETA - And I'm only 32.5 weeks.
  • I;m 39 + 2 and have not had the nesting urge, which is unfortunate for my house.  Some women just don't get it.  I have also been super tired, much more so than at any other time int he pregnancy.

  • My idea of nesting is from time to time I look at my house and go "huh, I'm having a baby soon - I guess I should clean some".
