Low lying placenta and bleeding

I am 15 weeks pregnant and woke up this morning bleeding fairly heavy. Headed to ER and they did an exam and ultrasound. The baby was moving around and had a good heartbeat. My placenta is low lying which I'm told bleeding can be normal and to only come in if I'm filling a pad an hour. I'm not bleeding that much but still have a lot of blood when I wipe. Anyone else have experience with this? I'm freaking out a little.

    It's quite normal with placenta previa either partial or full. Listen to the doctors or nurses and keep an eye on it. Good news (as I had partial previa) is that in *most* cases the placenta moves up and corrects itself and bleeding should stop.
