Beta Test

I had a beta done today and it was 147. Is that low for 4w1d (15dpo)? AF was due today. My last pregnancy ended in MC 16 months ago

    I'm not sure. Can your doctor explain the numbers to you?

    I could be completely wrong but I don't think the initial number matters that much. It more important to see how they increase.

    my first Beta for my IVF cycle was 78.  I was told over 50 is considered pregnant and they look for the numbers to increase by 60% every 2 days.  You are definitely Pregnant and good luck!  Are you going back for a 2nd Beta?

    What matters is that numbers double in 48 hours. The range of "normal" is really wide. Mine was only 55 at that same time, but it doubled so it's all good.

    Actually, they're looking for a doubling number every 48 to 72 hours initially. Eventually, the numbers don't double that fast… I would say be cautiously optimistic and welcome! I'm very sorry about your previous loss.

    My first beta was 107 (13dpo)  and second (48 hrs later) was 462 (15dpo). As pp said it is how they increase that really matters but your first number looks great!!!! Congrats!!!

    Diagnosed MMC at 9w1d on 11/30/15
    Headed back home to Colorado 12/12/15

    DE attempt in Czech Republic!! 

    March trip to Prague canceled due to Pancreatitis. :sob:
    Headed to Prague April 30
    3 different donors resulted in 1 PGS tested embryo and 1 fresh embryo
    2 embryo's transferred (from 2 different donors) on 5/10/16
    BFP on 5/15/16 at 5dp5dt
    Beta 1 = 81 at 8dp5dt, Beta 2 = 295 at 10dp5dt, Beta 3 = 891 at 12dt5dt. Beta 4 = 2114 at 14dp5dt, Beta 5 = 4916 at 16dp5dt, Beta 6 = 13252 at 19dp5dt
    Heartbeat at 6w5d 133BPM <3
    We are having a GIRL!!! Due Jan 26, 2017

    I had super low hcg with my last pregnancy, always on the lowest cusp for the hcg to week ratio, but it did increase by at least 60% every 2-3 days.

    After 10 mc, she made it and shes perfect.

    2013 - Stopped TTC, lost over 140kg & made massive lifestyle changes.
    Resumed TTC from July 2014.

    BFP - 30/12/14 -
    Beta hCG - 6/1 = 2360, 8/1 = 3741 (46h dt), 10/1 = 6134 (48h dt)
    Charlotte Aurelia - Born 18.8.2015 @ 37 weeks. 2.6kg. 49cm.

    BFP 2/11/15 - While taking Noriday (minipill).
    Beta hCG - 2/11 = 15, 5/11 = 99 (24.61h dt),
    Ultrasound booked - 12/11

    My first beta this time around was taken at 3w4d and was 223.  I didn't have them done again til 4w3d.  With doubling every 48 hours, it should have been around 1800.  It came back at 3654.  So now I'm a little curious what they're going to find next week at my ultrasound.

    I did IVF as well and transferred two FET....my first beta at 13 days post transfer was at 278 and then two days later at 836. I've been researching a lot about beta's and twins and it appears that it's really hard to tell without an ultrasound whether is one or two. I'd be happy with either, I just want a perfect little miracle at the end of this :)

    My beta levels were 34 at 11 dpo. 81 at 13 dpo.

    Update: after 48 hours, my beta went from 147 to 525, so we are good! Praying the numbers keep increasing!
