Is my baby hungry??

Help! My daughter will be 3 weeks tomorrow. For the past 2 days, she's been pecking and rooting as if she's hungry, even immediately after she eats. I'll go back to feed her again, she'll latch on for maybe a minute, then pulls off screaming. I really don't want to supplement with formula, but not sure what to do. What gives?! Any ideas?

    My son does the same sometimes and he's 3 weeks as well.. So I started assuming it was gas. I burp him, he lets out some good burps and he'll either keep eating or I put him on his tummy he'll pass more gas and he'll fall asleep.

    Sometimes babies will act like they want to eat when they are tired. Baby girl could be wanting to suck and gets mad that milk comes out, because she is already full. I swaddle my baby, use a pacifier, and bounce him during those times and usually my LO will be sleeping within minutes.

    As @bingj said sometimes baby just wants to suck. A pacifier helps in that case although since you're BF it may be too early to introduce that.

    Is she having enough wet diapers (6-8 per day)? If so she's likely getting enough to eat and I wouldn't worry too much, just try to calm her down as best you can.
