Didn't see if yet so.....Ten Things Tuesday!
1. We moved into our house 2 years ago this December. We are finally diving into some fun projects like redesigning our fireplace (to be prettier and more kid friendly) and adding backsplash to the kitchen next! We've painted and done some necessary but boring things previously so I'm very excited!
2. I'm pretty set on leaving my job and becoming a SAHM to two under two in the spring. Excited and nervous at the same time!
3. DS is currently sleeping on my chest. I savor these moments that are so few and far between these days. Snuggly newborns grow into busy little kiddos!
4. I'm really looking forward to a holiday ski trip, even though I'll probably only get on the mountain if conditions are perfect.
5. I'm starting to recognize posters and remember things about them which is super fun (and totally not creepy I swear)! With DS I didn't discover the birth month boards until a month before he was born so I missed out on the community. I'm glad we seem to have a solid bunch here!
6. We were strongly team green last time but I'm leaning more towards finding out the sex this time. I think I'm just so convinced this is a girl that I need to know! Two boys would be a blast too, it's just my gut feeling.

7. I'm obsessed with french fries. So far it's not a problem, nursing and chasing DS has kept my weight reasonable up until now, but it's bound to catch up with me. Oh welllllll.
8. I've actually been able to keep cooking this pregnancy (I have no idea what we ate last time I was in 1st trimester) and it has helped me feel human.
9. DS ate an entire container of blueberries in the past 24 hours....yes, his diapers are blue. For first time moms....you'll be amazed at the rainbow of poo (and what it tells you about their health). It's so weird and cool.
10. I have an entire mountain of laundry to fold before work so off I go to pretend I'm going to do that...!
Re: Ten Things Tuesday!
2. This time change has got me all messed up.
3. I want to go back to bed and go back to sleep.
4. The system we use for work always always always seems to mess up and error out continuously every Tuesday.
5. My father-in-law drives me crazy. And occasionally makes me ask myself what the hell did I marry into.
6. I'm already listening to Christmas music
7. I'm scared to death of the thought of going off progesterone. It's a nice crutch for the mind.
8. Today I have officially been at my current job an entire year. Although all together (since I have worked there off and on -- was laid off in 2008 then did some temp work and as if last year back regularly) I have been here 3 years and a half.
9. I was bad last night and ate a few pieces of Halloween candy, and Chic Fila
10. We are getting DirectTV again (we cut the cable two years ago) and I am so excited to watch the Hallmark Channel b/c I love the Christmas movies.
Edit: Number 10 is now invalid b/c my DH is a huge twatwaffle.

Second Pregnancy
- BFP: 09/11/2015
- EDD: 05/25/2016
Baby Born04/15/2016
PGAL
2. I can no longer watch scary/thriller movies before bed. They feed into my already weird pregnancy dreams.
3. My appetite is still pretty erratic. Dairy products seem to be the only thing I can consistently eat.
4. I am planning to leave my job after the baby's born. We are going to be moving to another state, so I can attend grad school in the fall (a trifecta of anxiety-producing changes!)
5. This will be the first baby on my side of the family, and the second on DW's side.
6. I want to be on Team Green, but DW wants to find out the baby's sex. We'll see who caves in a few weeks
7. I could sleep 12 hours a day right now. This first trimester is wearing me out.
8. We have two cats - wondering how they will do with the baby.
9. Im convinced that the super sense of smell pregnancy gives you is the worst super power imaginable.
10. Right now, I'm most excited to find out what my baby will look like
2. My brother is coming to visit for a week, arriving today. I get to see him twice a year, so I'm very excited! Plus, I'm going to take off a couple days of work.
3. Next week my H and are taking a trip to Lake Havasu/Vegas. I'm excited for a little getaway.
4. I have way too much leftover Halloween candy. I had four Reese's last night and am feeling so guilty... yet so delighted with it's deliciousness!
5. I have the same morning appetite problem as @jenly17 . I could eat breakfast #1 (cereal) at 5a.m., breakfast #2 (oatmeal) at 7:30a.m., snack at 9:30a.m. (yogurt), and lunch at 11-11:30a.m. and then not want to eat anything until a little snack before bed. It's so strange.
6. I scheduled an Ultrasound in Vegas. The seemed pretty confident that they would be able to determine the sex. I feel kind of silly, but it will be our anniversary so what the heck.
7. I am soooo not a person who stocks up on things. I just have an aversion to excess stuff, even if it will be used sooner or later.
8. I can't wait to start shopping for baby. I think I'll start working on the nursery after the first of the year. My last pregnancy I found a good deal on a great running stroller (Mountain Buggy Terrain) and Ergo Original carrier. I have a head start on some of the gear!
9. I'm usually not in the Christmas spirit until after Thanksgiving, but this year I seriously want to decorate next weekend.
10. I'm so excited to gorge on my grandma's mashed potatoes and gravy!
Married in 2011
Baby 1: Stillborn at 27 weeks (April 2014)
Baby 2: Due May 2016
1- TB offline issues really killed me this morning. When I cant sleep at 4:00, I like to get up and bump. Wasn't sure what to do with myself this morning.
2- All I want to eat is queso and chips. Thinking that will be lunch today.
3- After my NT scan yesterday, and seeing my lil soccer player, I feel so much more at peace and connected with this pregnancy.
4- It is 70 in NYC this week and I am LOVING it. Hoping this is a sign of a mild winter.
5- I have a pile of crap growing on my desk, and no desire to power through it.
6- Cant wait to get home tonight to catch up on last nights Vamperpump Rules and RHOC reunion part 3. I am in the Brooks does not have cancer camp.
7- I cant eat bananas if they have a dark spot after reading about the woman who found spiders in her bananas. I say this as the banana on my desk looks very "spidery" and will be going directly in the trash.
8- I started to clean out our spare room last weekend as it will become the nursery. I cannot wait to buy furniture and decorate!
9- Anyone else excited that babies birthstone is Emerald? I have always wanted an Emerald piece of jewelry, so what a perfect excuse to treat myself
10- I still want that queso. So off to Trader Joes I go!
2. Husband and I decided to get TWO puppies in August...ironically we got our bfp 4 days later. Being pregnant and scrubbing pee off of my carpets is not ideal. I keep telling both puppies "don't worry, you'll both be good dogs someday". I think I'm saying that to reassure myself more than anything.
3. My husband is in the navy. We move to VA from CA in December and I have been sleeping on an aerobed with two sets of clothes for 2 weeks...I hurt...all over.
4. Originally our move date was December 4 since DH got done with C school in San Diego (I'm by myself all month in Ventura). The fabulous navy decided to tell us yesterday that he actually doesn't get done until December 14, so I've had to change all hotel reservations, move in date for housing, etc. AHHHH!
5. I found out two days ago that I am apparently all of a sudden allergic to strawberries because of his pregnancy. I have been itching like a crazy woman ALL over. And it makes me really want strawberries.
6. Even though I won't be to VA until December 21, I'm still going to decorate the new house and get a tree for Christmas.
7. I've been eating my homemade chicken tortilla soup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two weeks. Made pot number 3 yesterday. Guess I could be eating worse things.
8. NT scan/12 week appt on the 9th. Sadly, DH won't be able to make it since he's away for 6 weeks, so I'm really hoping everything goes well, so nervous!
9. My mom has already bought us a crib, crib mattress, given us money for a pack n play, and bought us probably all the clothes we will possibly need for the first year of baby's life. So so grateful for her as DH's parents haven't even told us as much as congratulations and we've sent them pics, videos, and a card letting them know we are expecting. We aren't on good terms with them or with my SIL, but seeing as their lives revolve around their other two grand babies, I'd figure they'd at least say "hey, congrats!".
10. To #9, seeing as my DH's family are evil evil hearted people and have caused so much drama and trouble in our lives in the past 6 months, I didn't think it would bother me that they haven't said anything about this pregnancy. Yet I've cried a lot about how already, my baby isn't looked at or loved/appreciated like my nieces are. Totally sucks that adults act like this.
2. (Thinking way ahead..) It's important to me that, once we have a child, we're home in Christmas morning. However, we have family "Christmases" on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (both 3 hours away from our home) that we won't want to miss.
3. I'm sending out pregnancy announcement cards tomorrow to family. I think my Mom and MIL are more excited than I am.
4. I recently bought some (non-maternity) Ponte pants from Loft. I'm wearing them today, and they are amazing.
5. I say a prayer of thankfulness and protection over my little bean every morning. God is so good.
6. My husband has already moved all of the furniture out of the room we're using for the baby's room (previously guest room).
7. Every year, we have 3 Thanksgiving meals to attend on Thanksgiving Day. I'm thankful to have that much family to celebrate with, but it's also stressful and makes for a long day. I don't know how we're going to handle that next year with a LO in tow.
8. I've taken a 15 minute nap in my car while at work 3x over the past week.
9. Every time I try to talk about childcare with DH, he shrugs and says, "I don't know." I don't think he understands that it's not something that can wait until April.
10. I've never looked forward to doctor's appointments before, but now I count down the days till the next one to see my LO (9 days
DS1: May 2016
DS2: Jan 2019
Baby #3 EDD: 6/18/24
2. My daughter is going through some kind of sleep regression (turning 2 in Dec), and that means waking up early and short (or no) naps at the moment.
3. Ever since DD was born, I hate when DST ends (aka now) because it means waking up early in the dark, cold winter months
4. I saw these beautiful glass Christmas candleholders at Costco last weekend. I'm not an impulse buyer at all, so I didn't get them... But I've been thinking about them every day and really want to go back to get them!!
5. I love Kings Hawaiian buns. Yum.
6. I finally memorized the code for adding gifs on mobile. :-bd
7. This weekend we have a college reunion. I'm excited about to see some of our old friends!
8. Relating to 7, I would have never thought to describe myself as vain, but now that I'm in the "chunky" pre-bump stage of pregnancy, I feel self-conscious that everyone there will think I'm just putting on weight, especially since we don't plan on telling everyone we're pregnant. So I guess I'm more vain that I'd like to admit...
9. I think this baby hates peanut butter. It makes me SO SICK right now.
10. About to put DD down for a nap so I can get caught up on work... Wish me luck.
2. On the same note, H & are talking about me becoming a SAHM after baby's born. I would love to, but one of my jobs would allow me to drop down to pt. It also fits with H's schedule so little one wouldn't have go to daycare.
3. I wish I had more time to write.
4. I also wish I had time to exercise. After working 13hrs a day all I want to do is fall into bed!
5. I love Christmas and have been listening to Christmas music for a week.
6. We finally start renovating the bathroom soon! I can't wait to have a bathtub again!
7. Also we're almost mudding the drywall in the room that's going to be the nursery!
8. Did I mention we're renovating a whole house?
9. I think I'm becoming used to being tired all the time.
10. I really enjoy this month board. It's a nice community.
1. We only have Sam's Clubs but no Costco's. This is something that makes me sad.
2. I was asleep by 8:45 last night.
3. I threw up again this morning and I think my husband tried to make fun of me because I was so loud. Joke denied.
4. I really need to get my shortness with stupid people in check. I think opposing counsel thinks I am suffering from a mood disorder. I kind of am?
5. I am definitely open about the pregnancy but do not think I will announce on social media
6. I am wanting to put up the xmas tree the weekend before thanksgiving.
7. Convicing my husband on #6 is always a chore, but I always win!
8. I cant wait to see xmas through my daughter's eyes this year
9. DSL the day after Halloween is a mean cruel joke the universe played on parents of toddlers.
10. I am drinking so much more caffeine this pregnancy compared to my first, and I have the guilt.
5. Actually got out and about at weekend saw people, enjoyed it rather than being horizontal and green!
6. One more week and am going home for a visit, not seen some family since pregnant so can't wait to see them all
Summary: sleep good / food good / need to buy baby stuff and can't remember!!!!
1. Halloween party- awesome success.
2. I'm craving meat a lot
3. I'm still working on and getting closer to convincing DH to go on a "baby moon" in the new year.
4. In the last 3 years we have travelled to Jamaica, Mexico ( Rivera ), Cuba (Our Honeymoon), Mexico ( Puerto ) So this winter I wish to travel to Dominican or Costa Rica.
5. I hate this time of year cause it super muddy. Work truck is full of mud, inside and out.
6. Hoping to get out hunting this weekend.
7. Told our parents and friends we are pregnant on Saturday. Everyone is ecstatic! The best reaction was my Grandma, we told her on her 86th birthday and she is trilled for another great grand baby.
8. I have been watching Christmas movies for 2 weeks and totally enjoying them. Yet I am not excited about the fact that I know I should start thinking about Christmas shopping...
9. I made banana bread for the first time last night. I rocked it.
10. Have a friends 30th birthday Thursday and I am in charge of the dessert. She has a gluten allergy so no cake or brownies.. I'm gonna make worms in dirt for the first time! Looks pretty easy, and delicious.
2. Its only 8:30 and I'm about to get in bed. Yay for bed.
3. I sneezed earlier and peed my pants a little...
4. I love my job but sometimes wish I could be a SAHM. My salary is crucial to our family as is my health insurance so it really isn't an option for me.
5. My BFF lives in the SF Bay Area and I miss her all the time. I so wish we lived on the same coast.
6. I thought I would enjoy pregnancy a lot more than I do.
7. I'm oddly excited for the final Hunger Games movie to come out and may see it during opening week.
8. Also excited for the new seasons of Game of Thrones and Girls on HBO this winter.
9. H and I have a great group of friends that we met at the dog park and see every morning there. They are people we never would have met were it not for our dogs becoming friends. Our two best friends are in the secret service and they're way cooler than we are. Their dog Sadie and our dog Reggie are lovers and it is adorable.
10. I don't worry about our dogs being good with our LO because they love all people but I do worry about them being emotionally crushed when they become 2nd fiddle after we bring the baby home. I'm going to do everything I can to pay as much attention to them as possible! I'm a crazy dog lady.
1. I'm not happy about jury duty (see Twatwaffle Tuesday).
2. I'm so sleepy and (I know flammable info) I just drank a coke to wash down M&Ms (my only caffeinated drink today).
3. I am so backed up on my shows right now (AHS, The Good Witch Halloween, The Affair, Wicked City, How To Get Away With Murder x2).
4. I got my big order in from Zulily and could not be more pleased with the clothes and shoes! There is only one pair of leggings that I'll be growing out of pretty quickly but the jeans are so soft and roomy but look great!
5. I am starting to explain to DD about Santa because last year we waited in line for 2 hours to get pictures with Santa and when we finally got to him DD had a complete melt down bc she was so terrified. So I'm going to try and familiarize her with him early this year.
6. I am sooooo excited about Elf On A Shelf this year bc I think DD will understand it a bit better this year.
7. I'm pretty done with Christmas shopping except for DH's plane tickets to the Virgin Islands.
8. DH's friend happens to be a lesbian and is getting married this month. DH is unnaturally excited about going to the wedding bc he said he's never been to a "gay wedding." Neither have I but I assume there isn't a difference in a "straight wedding." Everyone says I do right?? (Well hopefully)
9. I am so flipping excited about American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson that comes out in Feb!
10. So ready for Christmas so we can see LO (via US).
Been married since 2009.
Unicornuate Uterus (yes I menstruate glitter)
Several MCs
DD born 2013 (our miracle "you can't have babies" baby!)
2. I didn't sleep last night. Almost none, literally. It was a rough day for me and it had nothing to do with the pregnancy.
3. I've had more than my share of stress this time around. I'm hoping the extra stressors will stay away at least for a few weeks so we can get through what we have for now.
4. I just realized how cryptic those last couple sound. I can't get my mind off of it so before this whole post is super cryptic I'll just say it. My Grandpa fell yesterday and a disc in his neck slipped and he had to have surgery to remove it late last night. Everything looks super promising and the drs say he's going to be ok, but he's not a young man and that is some super major surgery and I am a hot mess over it.
5. I'm actually super nervous to havey 3rd c section. I wasn't this nervous last time...not until a few weeks before it, but I am just freaking out about it!
6. My car is in the shop getting the door handle fixed. I'm so glad my hubby's friend works on cars. I'm due to get it back on Thursday...fingers crossed he gets the handle and has it painted and attached by then
7. DS #2 has his first birthday pictures tomorrow! I'm excited and sad at the same time. I can't wait for the pictures, but I'm not ready for him to be 1!
8. When this baby comes, I'll have 3 under 3. I can't decide if I'm brave or crazy.
9. I borrowed my MILs car today to take my spare key to the body shop (forgot the key I gave him won't unlock the door without setting off the anti theft alarm system) and when I got back DS#1 looked at me and said "mama take grandma's car...knuckle sammich!" I love that kid
10. I have my first glucose test at my next appt...and I know I'm going to fail it and be sent for 3 hour one. I'm 0/4 on those 1 hours. But I always pass the 3 hr so well that they don't understand why I failed the first time. I even fast before the 1 hour same as the 3. Idk...Maybe 3rd baby is the charm!!!
2. Holy crap 4 kids is a lot! Freaks me out saying it out loud.
3. I love reading TTT. It actually brightens my day.
4. DH got a cool job offer but it involves moving and changing everything... We finally got settled with things this year and have huge plans where we are.
5. My 16 month old barely ever says mom and today he was just non stop saying mom, I loved it.
6. My 4 year old stayed home sick today so I took his brother to school and seriously when I pulled up to the house he was already outside playing with DH... Ugh. Obviously not sick.
7. Dh is helping my brother write a resume for a really good company. Fx he gets the job.
8. Christmas this year will be different. I usually travel but I really just want to stay home with dh and our boys. We will probably still travel.
9. All I want to eat is chocolate. Seriously wtf. I want to want salads and fruit.
10. I'm going over to my neighbors after dropping the boys off at school, she's going to satisfy my chocolate craving! I kept her cravings satisfied while she was pregnant (she just had her baby 2 weeks ago)... And now she's taking care of mine. What a gal!
