I'm 6 w and had some spotting. Went in for an ultrasound and they said the baby implanted lower than they usually see. Has anyone had this happen? I heard the heartbeat but afraid to lose the baby
My first pregnancy was very low, i had placenta previa however as she grew everything moved and i had a vaginal birth.
I did spot for the first 14 weeks from it though. You should be fine
The doctor didn't seem concerned but I don't know if that was just for my sake. She did say just to take it easy for 2 weeks. No sex or heavy lifting but she said baby looked good. So prayers needed
It does happen all the time. Yes i just took it easy, every time you spot they will tell you to take it easy for two weeks. Usually baby will move up some be the second trimester hence stopping the spotting for me at 14 weeks. My doc mentioned it but wasnt concencerned. There are no specific health risks with baby being low. If baby doesnt move up and the placenta is blocking the cervix then you will need a c section. When i ask my doc how likely that was she said in most cases baby moves up. Mine did.
Jaqualls. I took the rest of the day off to just relax (I have been so stressed and on edge). Work is stressful too but the doctor won't write me a note. In such a stress ball especially at work. Thanks for posting. You eased my mind!
Mine wouldn't either, I worked up do the day I gave birth and yeah it was hard. I couldn't take my mind off things. This time I have started spotting again around 8 weeks so I think it may be the same this time around. Only now there are no days off (my girl will be 2 on friday)
Cattlebride, were you spotting with your baby that was low? I guess I shouldn't worry because all I can do is just be positive and take care of myself. The doctor did not seem concerned but the ultrasound tech did (which freaked me out)!
