Congratulations! You should be excited & absolutely celebrate this baby! A lot of women on here have posted the mantra "Today I am pregnant" and that is a blessing!
This is our first child, so for my DH I made a photo collage (using the "PicStich" app on my phone) with a photo of us when we first started dating in one picture that said "Boyfriend & Girlfriend 2012, then next picture is our wedding day & says "Husband & Wife 2014" and the final picture across the bottom was a picture of my positive test that said "Mommy & Daddy 2016" I wrapped that with a note from the baby to Daddy. He was very surprised!
Have you tried Pinterest to search for creative reveals to your husband? Perhaps wrap a gift from the new baby to him instead of involving your son so this announcement is different than the last, like a onesie with his favorite sports team on it or something?
I surprised DH with a little gift - a onesie that says "I'm awesome like Daddy," a pair of newborn doggy slippers that look like our dog, and a sheet of paper that listed out important dates (5/23/2008 - first date) as well as a date for first child. I thought it was cute! He wasn't too surprised though - I got randomly fiercely nauseous a few days ago, so he said, "I knew you were pregnant!"
I took my pregnancy test and a scripture and put it in a box. This pregnancy is unexpected and I knew DH wouldn't be too happy. He didn't seem that upset so that's good news, lol
My DH is a huge star wars fan so I bought him the book "Goodnight Darth Vader" by Jeffrey Brown and will be making a onesie that says "The force is strong with this one". I work from home tomorrow so I will have a camera and everything set up so that I can hopefully catch his reaction!
At about 5am, after I got 2 pink lines, I woke DH, and said, "I'm pregnant." He mumbled something that sounded like "ok." Then we went back to sleep for hour. I guess we're not big on ceremony.
I found out on Monday, 2-dayed a "Big Brother" shirt for DS from amazon... should be arriving today. Trying to decide whether to throw it on the kid tonight when I get home (it would be very obvious), or dress him in it first thing tomorrow morning (when hubs is half awake).
