  How many times have you tried the underwear? If your only on week 2, it's still really early to expect no accidents. I have always heard that they will learn on their own once they pee in their underwear (feels really nasty since it doesnt absorb like a diaper). I don't know if thats true or not.
  
  We took our DD out to pick out her big girl underwear and I bought a package of pull ups (which didnt really work well for us-in the beginning I'd put her in them for when we'd leave the house just in case but at home it was always underwear, after a week or so I just went with underwear out and about because she wasnt wetting her pull up at all). Other then having her pick out her own underwear, I'd try really talking up what a big girl she is, maybe a sticker chart or some kind of reward system (I've heard of 1 m&m or raisin for everytime they use the potty), if she does have an accident don't get upset or diacouraged but have her "help" clean it up, take her to the potty/remind her more frequently when she's wearing underwear, and bring her in the bathroom with you when you have to go so she can see that you wear underwear but still use the potty (explain that to her everytime). Hang in there, she will get there when she's ready!

  We got panties with her favourite characters on them and talked about how sad they would be if they got peed on, that worked for us.

  I haven't started potty training my 18 month old since she's at three different homes throughout the week and it just seems like it would be too difficult to get everyone on the same page! I'm thinking I'll start full force during maternity leave when she's 22-25 months. However, at Grandpa's house, she pooped in her potty on the 31st for the first time and peed in the potty yesterday for the first time. Total AW moment, sorry lol, but I think I would buy the character undies like PP said and play that card! Good luck!!

  I'm currently potty training our 2 year old daughter. She also did great bottomless, and I introduced the underwear. It took her some time, but I've found that instead of waiting for her to go on her own I make her sit on it every hour to hour and a half. She also gets rewards and still needs helps getting her underwear back up sometimes, which is okay, she's only 2! My daughter still struggles with #2 but I hear that takes longer for them to catch on.

  
  

  Are you waiting for her to initiate the potty or are you making her sit on it during intervals? Even at older ages kids get caught up in excitement with playing and forget

  I wouldn't give it up just yet. It took about 3-4 weeks before DS really started getting the hang of it. I would try letting her pick out her own underwear. DS took great pride in his Mickey underwear. We still went out places when potty training. I just made sure that we peed right before we walked out the door and made stops in some of the cleaner bathrooms that I knew of along the way just to make him pee. And I brought along a diaper bag with several extra pairs of underwear and pants. You have to expect accidents to happen for a while. We used pull-ups but only at night--called them bed time underwear. I think having him pee in his pants a few times and him seeing that I was kinda sad about it really is what helped give him a turning point.

  I have a 23 month old son and I take him to the potty when we diaper changes. He's fine with sitting on the toilet and "trying" to go, but then says he's done. We also have potty parties (the dogs follow and if my husband is home he comes in, and we make a big deal out of the potty party), but that doesn't seem to make him want to use the toilet over a diaper lol. He likes to flush the toilet though! He does tell me when he's peed or pooped, so that's a good thing. I was really hoping for him to be trained by the time this next is born. Duh high hopes I have lol!

  Thanks ladies. We definitely have all the character undies; Mickey, doc, paw patrol.
  @Achae I started with the interval training for day 1-2. Then she started initiating and has no accidents when naked. But I'll try the intervals again with undies this time and see if it helps

  My son's daycare teacher encouraged us to put him in big boy underwear and then put a pull-up on top of them if we are going out of the house. This way, he still feels his underwear get wet and gross (and he HATES it!), but there isn't a huge mess. It made us much less fearful of leaving the house during potty training. After a couple of weeks, we hardly had any wet undies or pull-ups. Once we went two weeks without accidents, we stopped adding the pull-up layer over his undies. Since then, he's only had a handful of accidents. Good luck!

  @mageemaay that sounds like a great idea that I haven't heard of yet. Might try it today when we go outside to play
