Twatwaffle Tuesday

So, who's got a twatwaffle in their life today?

Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday

  • I definitely do! My phone started going off with text messages at 3:45am this morning, woke me out of a sound sleep & scared me... who was it?? Oh, the woman I had spoken to at a craft show 2 months ago and asked her to let me know when more of a certain product became available. She texted me at 3:45am to tell me that she is still waiting on the product to arrive - ummm what? Why is this necessary information months later in the middle of the night?! So mad.

I feel like everyone is a twatwaffle today. Either that, or everyone is just pissing me off. More specifically, my clients. Whiny mother effers. This is going to sound terrible, but we have a department meeting on Wednesday to talk about what the "plan" is in 2016 for the team that I work on, and I really hope they just come out and say that we are getting laid off and hand me a severance check. I'm done being pulled in different directions.

Um, no. Unless she was in a different time zone on the other side of the world, I feel like it's common courtesy to not do this before 8am. I would have been so irritated. Especially if it woke me up.
  • @MsBeachNJ: RUDE. :!! [-X

@mrsschmity: Gah, that sucks. It doesn't sound terrible to just want a resolution to a situation like that. No one likes limbo.
  • @mrsschmity I met her at a craft show in NJ, where I've purchased from her before at various shows in NJ... I don't think she was like in London or something but even still - she knows I'm not! I was furious!

  • @crdo I've seriously had enough. I've been with this company for 6 years, so I've been pretty loyal to them. I just wish they'd figure their shit out. The only thing I'm worried about is looking for a new job while pregnant. That would not be ideal.
  • This nausea is a twatwaffle today. I think I may actually throw up. Come on second trimester.

That's totally understandable. After 6 years, it sounds like you've got great experience for a resume to hopefully easily find a new position, if it comes to that. BUT, I can see how job searching while pregnant isn't what you want to do. I hope, like you said, your company figures their shit out soon. That's got to be frustrating as hell.
  • My SIL is always a twatwaffle!! She sent a text last week asking if they were intruding on my parent's visit by coming (uninvited!) for Halloween. (Answer: YES.)

She turns around and invites us to thanksgiving when her parents will be visiting, saying it wouldn't be intruding for them. Really? Eye roll. I've never even met her parents. Luckily DH has a half marathon, so I thought we were good. She persisted in asking about Friday, or Saturday, or Sunday... I feel like she's trying to make some stupid point and is backing me into a corner. What's the polite way to say we just do not want to visit her....ever? Rabble rabble.

  • @msschmity How frustrating!! That's why I left my last job!  I couldn't handle the frustration of going in direction A today, then B tomorrow, then CDEFG the rest of the week.

  • Woman in the waiting room at the lab today who was using her cell phone on not silent and every type had a clickety click sound and every incoming whatever made a sound who never looked up to see me glaring at her intensely.

  • I'm happy that it's Tuesday because I am in a complain-y mood! My twatwaffle award goes to the people who speak at an event and go waaaaaayyyy over time. No, you do not need to thank every single person in your life individually FOR ALMOST AN HOUR. You had a 20-minute slot. This then led to the award recipient doing the same thing because you set a precedent. Now I'm hungry because I need to eat every ten minutes so I don't throw up, I have to pee, and my back is aching from those stupid chairs. Oh, did I mention it also ran into my lunch hour? The only time I have to remedy these issues I now have. *sigh*
  • My boss... who treats me like his personal secretary.  I am capable of doing much more than complete his tedious tasks!  I've been here for 5 years, I know what I'm doing, I don't need a babysitter/approver/micromanager!

  • I'm an in-home behavioral therapist for kids with autism, and a client's family, while VERY nice people, have the most revoltingly dirty bathroom I have ever had the displeasure of using. Like, the toilet looks as though it has never been cleaned. I don't think the hand towel ever gets changed, either. Damn my tiny bladder!!!! I want to hose myself down with rubbing alcohol after using that bathroom.

  • People I share a kitchenette with.  They bring the weirdest smelly foods and heat them up in the microwave and they splatter everywhere and then they don't clean it up and everything microwaved after them reignites the nauseating odor.  I've been eating outside despite it being a bit chilly because I can't stand the smells.
  • Today at a staff meeting I didn't have any of the treats because I can no longer stomach food of any kind. My one coworker gave me "the eyes" and said loud enough for people to hear "you aren't hungry again? Haven't been feeling well lately?". It was completely obvious what she meant. Oh well. Part of me is over trying to hide my constant nausea and I don't even care if people know (second pregnancy). But geez. No need to be a twatwaffle about it!
  • My husband is a twatwaffle for not listening to the words that are coming out of my mouth! Today is our first ultrasound and he went to the ob's office instead of the RE's office! Luckily they are nice enough to wait for him to drive across town to get here! Meanwhile, I'm sitting here just waiting, nervous as all hell!!! (I think I've been bitching about my husband a lot lately!! He really is a wonderful husband/dad but lately he's driving me crazy!!)
  • My FIL/dh they loaded the dish washer which good job. They rinsed off the plates... Ok so far so good but then they didn't turn it on. So I put a ton of dirty dishes back in my cupboards until I figured out some had food on them ~X(
  • My homework is a twatwaffle today... It may have to wait until my day off Thursday. Sorry, not sorry.

  • My SIL is a twatwaffle- she lives nearby and we see them every couple of weeks. Nothing has changed at all recently with the frequency with which we communicate or see each other, and she's generally a nice person who means well. But yesterday she sent DH (her brother) a scathing email about why don't we ever talk or want to see her anymore. Uh... what?? We just had lunch with you 2 weeks ago (our idea) and got her son a "I'm gonna be a big cousin" shirt.

I hope it doesn't have anything to do with me being KU, I like the every few weeks arrangement and don't need to see my in-laws ALL THE TIME
  • Just...EVERYONE! It's been a really awful day. Students were absolute nightmares, their parents were the same. DH knew I was having a bad day & was feeling very overwhelmed & emotional, but I came home anyways to a disaster of a house. He worked from home today (lucky) so decided it was okay to make a mess of the kitchen, pile the sink with dirty dishes (we do have a perfectly fine dishwasher), & leave piles of clothes throughout the house. I feel like I'm going to lose my mind! So, everyone is a twattwaffle today. Ugh!!

  • My boss and work. Always my incompetent food and beverage manager. It's Tuesday 2:45pst and he still doesn't have THIS WEEK'S schedule out!!! Our weekly shifts start Monday at 530am to Sunday 12pm. I'm at my wits end with this BS! Yes, I am actively looking for a different job on my 1 day off a week, but enough is enough.
  • My professors for not giving us the warning that our procedures lab would be done on real pig feet and raw chicken breasts. I won't even go into further detail. I ended up having to tell them because I was gagging and needed a trash can by me :( and now I don't want dinner but my stomach is growling!

Can I change my twatwaffle to my husband? If he tells me one more time that he is so tired and goes to bed at 8pm I swear I will lose my shit!

He works for himself, has a couch that he naps on in his office and wakes up later than me everyday. Not to mention he is aslee when I leave in the morning and is now going to bed 2 hours after he gets home.

I have no sympathy and he just makes me mad.

    Maybe I'm the twatwaffle?

I feel the same way about my DH sometimes! He basically gets to choose his hours, can work from home a few days a week, & he sleeps in every morning...yet he still complains that he's
soooo tired! HOW?! I also have no sympathy. Our DH's are the twatwaffles, lol.

  • Right now it's my dad and Thanksiving. I am trying my hardest to move thanksgiving to my house so that my husband's family can be there as well for us to announce we are expecting. My dad is saying it will be too difficult for everyone to come to my house 40 min away and insists on having it at his. One year! Just one year is all I am asking people!!!!

This, i wish it would make up its mind. Sunday tacos were ok, today its like "nope tacos are on the projectile vomit list" but friday should be fine for all mexican, or maybe potatoes we really havent planned that far ahead yet.
  • I'm the same @tango4mango! I can eat something when I make it, and then maybe one more time for leftovers before I can't even tolerate thinking about it.

Oooo I forgot one from yesterday!  Someone asked me if I was pregnant.  Yes, I am...but I am 8 weeks, jerks.  You should NOT be able to tell yet.  You basically called me fat.  Yes, I'm rocking my blump, but suck it.
