DD is Norah. We've settled on a girl's name for #2, Isla.
Boy names are super hard for us. I have a huge list but DH vetoes almost all of them without giving much back. We prefer less common names but clearly based on our girls' names if we really like a name, popularity isn't a deal breaker.
Recently we've found a few boy names that we both like. Can you give me some feedback on them? What do you think when you hear them? I'm having doubts, I think because we've gone through so many that I'm not sure I'm thinking straight! Are these names bad?
Lincoln, Vaughn, Roman, Calvin, Adrian
We also both like, but not sold on: Logan, Harrison, Zachary, Liam
In case anyone wants to know my style or make other recommendations, names I love but DH has vetoed: Rowan, Miles (DH likes it but only spelled Myles, I am working on him), Reid, Callum, Caleb, Theodore (Theo), Damian, Avery, Gavin, Nathaniel
Thanks everyone! Lincoln and Vaughn are the two that really started making me question myself, because they're definitely a departure from my usual taste. I feel like the rest are more normal and are either people's taste or not, but Vaughn and Lincoln might be in the category of trying too hard?
Miles with an "i" would 100% be my choice if DH agrees to drop the "y". For the first time in years (it was on the list when DD was born) he's said he'll think about it, so hopefully I'm wearing him down.
Love Adrian! Such a handsome name:) by far my favorite. Perhaps you might like Cameron, Gabriel, Simon or Dax. Just some other faves of mine.
I do love Cameron, and it's MIL's last name/maiden name (she's awesome) so I would love to use it, but DH vetoed. See how difficult this man is??
I love Adrian as well. Out of the blue a few days ago DH brought it up and said he liked it. I know I've brought it up to him before and he vetoed, but that's pretty typical of him. He did that with DD's name (Norah) and then brought it up a while later. He still denies that I brought it up first, but I ended up with a name for DD that I love! (He originally was set on Jordan for a girl, I'm not a fan of boy names on girls)
I love Miles!

I love Leo, but is it an acceptable stand alone name? I don't like Leonard and we're not Italian at all so Leonardo wouldn't work for us.I also really like Owen, but have a close friend whose husband is Owen. Sebastian is amazing, but my cousin's name (and DH vetoed)

It's fairly acceptable as a standalone name, though I personally prefer it as a nickname. Other Leo names

Leonidas
You have no idea how thrilled my husband would be if I suggested Leonidas. We've joked about using it before. It's probably his all time favourite name, but I just don't know if we could pull it off! I do love it too but it's a really... "big" name (for lack of a better word)
Thanks everyone for the feedback, especially on Lincoln and Vaughn. I already had the nagging feeling that Vaughn wasn't right for us, but was still really liking Lincoln. I needed some unbiased opinions - Lincoln and Vaughn are off the list!

If it makes you feel any better, Leonidas has gone up the charts and is sitting at 566. Most likely it won't be an uncommon name once he gets to grade school.
Re: Boy names - are they bad?
I like your 2nd list better. Except for Logan.
I like Miles.
