Some of you know how a huge part of the reason we started TTC now rather than in a few months is because my mom was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer back in August.
She had her surgery on Friday, and the tumor was PRE-cancer!!!! A grapefruit sized tumor, and miracle of miracles it wasn't as bad as the doctors had thought it would be.
The doctor said she should be fine, just recover from surgery, and follow ups to make sure it really is completely gone. It was completely contained, and they are as positive as they can be they got it all. They had planned to keep her for 5 days, and ended up letting her go home that night as long as she stayed close to the hospital for 24 hours.
They upped her 5 year chances survival from 46% to 97%! I'm so relieved. She still has a bit of a hard road to complete recovery, but not nearly what it could have been.
I wanted to thank you all for all of your support regarding this, the kind words and advice has been a real beacon of light leading up to her surgery.
