We could not have planned this any better. Don't be sad about not drinking, be happy about all the eating!
We are pregnant through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. Many of us are in our second trimester, meaning we are not nauseous but HUNGRY!
Even better, when you're pregnant people TELL you to eat and eat MORE.
Give me ALL the food and none of the guilt.
No one will be mad at me this Thanksgiving for eating all the mashed potatoes. No one will make fun of me for carrying hot chocolate to work in a thermos (And a ziploc of marshmallows). No one will judge me for eating all the Reeses today.
Next year I'll use alcohol to suppress the sadness that my food excuses are long gone and I've joined a gym.
Until then, dig in.
Happy Halloween. Enjoy your candy (Reeses please). What are you most excited to eat this year?
I totally get where you are coming from... But some are still struggling with nausea and vomiting in sec tri. There is actually a post about it currently trending. Needless to say I am peanut butter and jealous of you!
And IF I can stomach them, my treats would be my moms famous pumpkin pie and pumpkin rolls and I make a mean garlic mash potatoes from scratch (reminds me of that UO thread that was literally taken over by potatoes lol)
Reeses, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and all the sweets that my family makes. We all bake 2-3 sweets each. then get together and split it all up, so theres like 15-17 different kinds of candies and cookies. OMG it is heaven!!!
I know I'm in the minority for not enjoying such heavy food. Never was a huge fan of Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners because of it. Now all the baked good on the other hand... Pumpkin pie and eggnog cheesecake? HEAVEN!
I come from a big Italian family that will most likely be "forcing" me to eat a 2nd (or 3rd) plate of food every holiday. Well, if you insist...give me all the baked ziti!!
For me, I have experienced zero MS duirng my pregnancy. I'm a FTM (currently 16 weeks). \:D/
I'm not really into Halloween candy but Christmas and Thanksgiving.....I already know it's a WRAP!
My family throws down during the holidays so if you can name it, we have it. Mostly, I'm looking forward to the fried turkey(s), sweet potatoe casserole, and all the dressing with gravy my lil heart desires. As far as baked goods, I can't wait for the key lime cake and peach cobbler.
I drooled on my shirt just while typing this....OMG.
Re: bacon wrapped stuffing balls: STUPID easy. Make stuffing (I just use Stove Top for this, prepared as per the box). Cut bacon strips in half. Roll the stuffing into bite sized balls, wrap in half strip of bacon, secure with toothpick. Bake at 350° until bacon is crispy. Check every few minutes after 30 mins.
Re: Chin up, ladies! ALL the food! (Caution: I am not dietitian.)
