With my first son I think I tried to control everything so much that didn't give me the best supply. This time I said I Will let my LO control it and I will just give him what he needs when he needs it. Well LO thinks he needs it 24/7 and only nurses to sleep. Then you lay him down and he wakes up only to start the process over again. It's only been 3 weeks, but I hope he learns to fall asleep on his own
Hopefully he will learn. My little guy did. I nursed him to sleep from day one. I still nurse him at bedtime, but now he goes in the crib awake and drifts off on his own. We have had a few set backs mainly during growth spurts where he needs a boob in his mouth to sleep, but they've been short lived.
Mine learned around 3 months. I just nursed on demand and still do. If he's tired, I can put him down wide awake and he'll fall asleep. The only time he'll fuss is if he's actually hungry.
