  For the record, there's no way to know whether you're actually late unless you know when you ovulated (which can happen at varying times cycle to cycle for any number of reasons), which you can only confirm via temping.
  
  Go ahead and take a test. If it's negative, you can keep testing as you like until a + or you get your period. Good luck.
  
  ETA: If you don't happen to be pregnant this cycle, I'd suggest heading over to the Trying To Get Pregnant board. Great group of ladies, and lots of knowledge to share.

  Well, just trying to give you an explanation just in case your test isn't positive to manage expectations. Also, I did answer your question about how to handle the wait--take a test! That way you'll know. The TTGP board I mentioned is a great way to also handle the wait as there are plenty of other women in your shoes to relate to. They have daily TWW boards, which are really helpful for getting through that time.
