The test and US went GREAT! Baby is right on track, still measuring exactly where "he" should be. No signs of downs on the scan, but just waiting now for the blood work to come in to confirm that.
This baby is ACTIVE. Took a while to get him to sit still and in the right direction to get a look at the neck fluid. Tech kept apologizing that we wont get any good pictures this time. I told her, as long as he is healthy, I don't care. But we did get one good one!
Next appointment is with OB next week. I guess its just my monthly pelvic exam? And I have to call the hospital today to make an apt for anatomy scan. I was kind of hoping we would be able to tell his time, but between him jumping all over the place, and having legs crossed, the tech said she wouldn't be confident even if she did see something.
I think I can maybe finally breath a sigh of relief. Baby is between 12w, 1d- 12w, 4d. She told me to calm down, that everything looks great, and to "stop reading so much!".
How did your appointment go overall? Amazing! We decided to take our daughter, and she was a real gem. She kept staying "that's my baby on the two-vee (tv)" and held my hand during the scan. I have never cried during an ultrasound, but today my cup runneth over. So there were tears.
Any ultrasound or doppler? NT scan - said everything looked good, it will take a week for my bloodwork to come back. HR in the 160's. I still have my major girl feeling!
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? OB visit was short and sweet! I guess it is for real go time! Today made it seem so much more real, even though I already had a dating ultrasound.
Had my first trimester screening and genetic testing got to do an awesome ultrasound! Little Jedi was so active and looked like it was blowing smooches
It wasn't my doctor I had to go to a different place for the genetic testing but I was happy to hear everything was looking good and right on track! Will get results for genetic screening in a week send good vibes please!
My appointment today was short & sweet! We discussed the complete results from the NT Scan/First Trimester screening - so relieved to learn that our risk is 1 in >10,000 for down's and trisomy 13/18. We discussed my anemia and how the iron supplements are going, we will do another blood test in 4 weeks to check my iron levels. We listened to the heartbeat with a doppler and it was strong and steady. All in all, a great appointment. I really love my OB.
How did your appointment go overall? Great!! Doctor said my spotting is normal since it is brown and he has no concerns.
Any ultrasound or doppler? Well found out today that I have a tilted uterus so we couldn't hear the heartbeat from the doppler so we did a quick ultrasound and the baby is waaaay back there but is measuring on time and we were able to see the heartbeat. We go back a week from Friday (I will be 12 weeks that day) to try the Doppler again. Fingers crossed!
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? I have a cold which usually goes into my asthma so I asked if prednisone is ok to take (which is what I usually take). He said that they prefer for me not to take it but if we can't control my asthma, then they understand as long as it isn't a big dose and it is a taper. So more fingers crossed that it doesn't go into my asthma.
How did your appointment go overall? Great! Pap smear and breast exam. They also told me that my blood work from my last appointment came back all normal. Blood pressure was normal and I had only gained 1lb since my appointment 4 weeks ago.
Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler! After about 10 seconds doc found the beautiful heartbeat!
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? The only question I had was if I could schedule our anatomy scan right before Christmas and she was able to! Can't wait for December 21st :-)
