TTC with one fallopian tube

Hi,
I have pcos, endo, small fibroids and recently had my right fallopian tube removed due to irreparable damage. I am trying to conceive via IUI with donor sperm and after my 2 week follow up at the fertility clinic, I was eager to try again. Here I am a month later and I haven't mustered up the courage to return. Now I have begun to get the urge to start again and am just wondering if anyone can share their experiences with regard to successful pregnancy with one tube?

    Hey there! Welcome to the boards. I also have a PCOS diagnosis. I have both tubes however our HSG show that my right tube is obstructed. DH and I have chosen not to pursue any surgery for the tube at this time. We are current one doing IUIs and just hoping for follicles on the left side :)

    Welcome. I do not pcos but I only have one ovary and tube. Had my 3rd iui on the 21st and test Wednesday. Good luck on your journey

    I don't have personal experience with this but one of my good friends got pregnant naturally about 6 months after an ectopic and losing a tube & ovary. She didn't have PCOS to my knowledge, but I just wanted to pass on to you that there is definitely hope with one tube! It only takes one!

    I don't have experience, but my sister lost an ovary in her 20s and went on to have 4 natural pregnancies.  Good luck!!

    7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)
    3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
    12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
    First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
    Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)

    Three ectopic pregnancies, PCOS, one missing tube, other tube had so much scar tissue they didn't think an egg could pass. Also had a polyp in the tube. After the polyp was removed and IVF, I am now 30 weeks pregnant with my baby boy. Doctors can do amazing things. You just need to make sure you are seeing a specialist that can work with you.

    I also have one tube from ruptures ectopic 13 years ago. Im going into my 3rd iui within the next week. Hoping I can produce a few good size follicles on my right side.
    I've have seen so many success stories! As long as you have a good team of nurses. Thy will guide you and answer any question you have. Go for it :)

    I also have one functional tube. Thanks to an ectopic pregnancy and stage 4 endometriosis, my tube was so scarred they could not even remove it and had to close it for business with cauterization. My doctor said that *if* we had all the time in the world, eventually the right tube might get the job done, but with having endometriosis as bad as I did, he said IVF was our best option and said we needed to bypass IUI. Not trying to scare you, just want you to have a balanced view from someone whose tubes couldn't get the job done.

    We've had more success with IVF than we dreamed possible, though! FX for your tubes doing their business!
