Hello ladies, I have been totally MIA for a couple of weeks. I'm facing the reality that I'm gonna be benched for awhile. At this time I don't know how long. My fiancé has been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, low vit d, and very low testosterone. (He's 29 and he's got a T level of a 70 year old) We think this is a side effect of the Hashimoto's, although we have yet to see an endocrinologist. Tomorrow we see his PCP and then I'm assuming the referrals and additional testing will begin.
It's been really heart breaking, not gonna lie. I'm taking it day by day worrying about his health and starting to accept that we are not actively TTC. These 15mo. of trying have been quite a ride. We've suffered 3 losses since we got together and I've done every test and procedure on my end to rule out my body as a reason for this (secondary for me?) infertility, and now it's his turn. I just feel bad and I see the hurt and confusion this is causing him. I'd rather it was me.
I may lurk here and there and I'm always rooting you ALL on. @CarrieandRoy will most likely keep me posted on any BFP's I miss! And thank you @Sporty1216 for your pm, I did finally respond to you once I realized I had a message!
Thinking of you all. The hardest part is feeling like I don't belong to a board right now. I'm just gonna spend some time putting my energy into myself and my family. I do have faith that my time will come, it's just on hold. Xo
I'm so sorry to hear that you are most likely benched for awhile. I still totally want you as involved as you feel comfortable with on this board!!! All of your DH's medical issues have got to be hard on him. He's lucky to have such a supportive wife! My husband found out he has high cholesterol after putting off a pcp visit for 5 years and he was walking around the grocery store today like he was in a funeral procession.
I'm hoping that some specialists will give you both a clearer path to getting back to TTC. I'm hoping it will happen sooner than later for you all. You've been through soo many ups and downs, and I hope you keep us updated. Thinking about you and your husband and hoping for for a healthy future for the both of you.
@thistle8677, I'm so sorry!! Please stick around. We'll miss you too much if you leave us completely. But only if it's easy for you to do so. I'll be praying for you both.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about all of this. What a lot to take in. It must be so frustrating to put TTC on hold after so many months of trying, to deal with all these health issues and to watch your poor dear one's heart break over all of this. I really wish this was easier for you guys. I hope you guys find some answers and some solutions soon. You are always welcome here - we are pretty lax on the rules and we adore you!!! Sending you lots of hugs and warm wishes. Best of luck on this journey...

I'm so sorry to hear all of this. But what an amazing fiancée you are to be so supportive and understanding of how your guy is taking all of this. It sounds like you two have faced a lot together and it sounds like it is making you stronger, which is so admirable. Like the others said, though, i wish it was easier for you both.
I hope you'll allow us to continue to be community for you if that would feel helpful. Whatever you decide, know that you two will be in my thoughts and prayers as you figure out next steps.
Take good care.
Ps--thanks for the pm back. I didn't know it was there! I'm almost always mobile and there's no indicator. Alas.
@thistle8677, I will let you know of any BFP's. (Dibs on the next one!)
Being benched is hard, and it makes sense to take a step back from the board to take your focus off of all this for a while. Jump back in whenever you need support, but you know you've got me by email in the meantime.

Im so sorry. As someone who has recently come off being benched I know how frustrating it can be. Use the time to your best advantage. Enjoy wine and caffine to your hearts content the time will fly by I promise! You'll be back in no time :-)
Thank you all, we are moving onto an endocrinologist, neurologist, and his dr ordered an MRI. I will check in when I feel pulled to do so, I love being a cheerleader over here, so just know that if you don't see me I'm still cheering. I'll be back and hopefully but the time I get back you'll all have graduated. That is what I'll be thinking when I think of each of you. @rspalding001 I remember you, so glad you're back and thank you, I needed to hear that. I believe you when you say that time will fly. I'm gonna hold onto that. >:D<
Each of you has been so supportive. I feel an enormous well of greatness has been cultivated here and my life is better for it. xoxoxo 8->
Aww... I'm so sorry, @thistle8677 -- I hope you'll visit here despite the break in TTC. I'm looking forward to hearing some good news and welcoming you back full time soon. I'll be thinking of you in the meantime!
And also, it's good that it was caught, so your fiance can get evaluated and treated. I understand that it is treatable, but some people go a long time undiagnosed. I hope his doctors are able to find out exactly what's happening with his body, and get his hormones and thyroid stabilized.
Good thoughts for you.
