Crawling??

LO is already scooting across the floor! Too early! He's not on all fours but does push off with his feet and is covering ground. DS was close to 8 months when he started crawling so I am so unprepared for this. I know he is a long way from true "crawling" but this is the beginning. I guess he is trying to keep up with his big bro. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Mine just started scooting too (backwards but still scooting

). We are pretty excited about it. But then again, as a FTM, I get excited over every little mile stone!

Ours is crawling, last week I put her in the blanket (she's been doing the pushing about thing) and I came back and she was in the kitchen. Baby proofing time

DD started walking at 9 months! She never crawled. I hope we get to see that cuteness this time. Lo is rolling like crazy but not scooting yet. Some babies are just crazy ready to get going. DD was defiantly more active than LO. Sounds like you are ready to bust out the plug covers mama. I can't believe it's already time to have a thread titled crawling. Shew.

Looking at the ceiling and whining?

My LO loves to lay on her back and do this! Anybody else have a 4 month old doing this? @henrytviii???

Hey! I'm just trying to get someone else to plan my meals so I don't have to think.

Nope. We are way more advanced. We lie on our backs and make fart noises. He's 5 months though so that accounts for the rapid progression.

We scoot around a little and spend a lot of time spinning in circles on her belly. However, you never see her actually spinning.

Lo is a rolling machine, and just recently started really pushing up with her hands when on her belly. Her legs are really strong, when we hold her in a standing position she takes on almost all of her own weight and she propells herself all over the crib using only her legs all night long. We're thinking as soon as she gets the arm strength she'll start to crawl. She gets bored really easily and i think when she can move around on her own she'll be a lot happier. We will be terrified, but she'll be happy!

We need to get her in the jumperoo too. She just turned 4 months on the 21st but she has excellent neck control. It also wouldn't hurt my little 18 pounder to burn a few calories here and there ;-)

Mine can roll and moves herself around the crib and I'm so thankful that she doesn't crawl yet hahaha.

I don't know if LO actually moves or if DS is screwing with me. She only seems to move when I'm out of the room.

@awolfff DS went backwards for a long time and was constantly getting stuck under furniture. It was pretty funny.

Haha uh ya mine can barely roll on his side and he's 5 months. The doctor blamed his weight. He's a big boy. Oh well. He'll get there! Not stressing.

Lol! @Sammy K glad to know ours isn't the only one!! The furniture gives me something to consider when baby proofing! Hah! Poor kid!!

We are in the content hanging out chilling club. No rolling. No sitting. Def no crawling. 6 months in 20 days. Wow.
