Took a fall tonight

So we had my daughter's parent teacher conference tonight at 7:30. I got out of my car it was dark out and I went to step up on the sidewalk, my foot caught and I fell hard! Pretty sure my knees and hands took most of the impact and baby is moving fine, my knees are both skinned and bruised pretty badly have a feeling tomorrow I might hurt worse than I do tonight. Felt like such a klutz!

    I'm sorry you fell! I hate feeling klutzy, and now you'll probably be way sore for a couple days... I'm glad baby seems to be ok, though, and hope you aren't too uncomfortable because of the fall

    I tripped up my front steps this week, not thy bad but my knees banged into my stomach. I pages my midwife and went straight to the hospital to check. I was feeling fine and it didn't telly hurt when it happened but they monitored the baby's hertrate, took blood tests to see for any signs of a rupture or get in placenta etc. I hope you called your doc???? Better safe than sorry. I was told that any impact or jolt to the body is a reason to get checked right away.

    Yeah the worst of it is that I do in home childcare and since there is no school tomorrow I have 8 kiddos including my daughters from 6:30 am-3:30 pm so might be a tough day!

    Yes I did call the doctor, they said since I didn't hit my stomach and haven't lost any fluids or had any bleeding and baby is moving fine that there is no need to worry. :) just makes me feel klutz is all. I have an appointment tomorrow too so I will get checked out then for sure.

    So sorry, so scary. I fell with my first in my belly at 37 weeks. When I went to Doctor they said placenta was a little bruised. They said it just meant it could start my labor, but it never did. I hope you are not too sore.

    With DD1 I fell backwards from a seated position off my bed.  I thought DH was going to have a heart attack, but I was laughing by the time he made it over to me.  I also tripped while walking and texting and fell pretty hard luckily I was headed into my OB apt!!  Mostly I just feel like klutz  ;)
