I've read that before labor your body sometimes self cleanses and you start to go very frequently or get diarrhea. Was this the case for anyone? How soon after it started did you go into labor?
So many things cause diarrhea that I would think that this is probably a bit of an unreliable sign that labor is imminent. I don't recall having much of a change in my bowels shortly before labor. Once I was in labor, I felt the urge to pee quite frequently.
Every woman and labor is different. I will say that for me that has been the norm. Every time I've gone into labor and had contractions start coming regularly I've had to have a bowel movement at least twice before being in full blown push for baby mode. Like I said though, that's just part of my labor process.

I understand that everyone's is different. I was just curious about what others have experienced. Thanks for your reply.
It was for me, but by the time it started I was very aware I was in labor. It wasn't any kind of early sign. More of a mid-labor sign.
This, me too. I must have pooped a half dozen times between when I started timing contractions and when I left for the hospital. But I didn't have any if this before contractions started.
Re: Diarrhea as an Early Labor Sign?
Haha, yeah, definitely no fun.
