bump or bloat?

I'll only be 12 weeks this Friday and I know I shouldn't be showing yet, especially since I'm 20 pounds over weight but my stomach has gotten so round and big.. Usually I just have a "fat" stomach thats flabby but it's full on round now.. I don't go into the doctors for another two weeks... Any thoughts?

  • I'm in the same boat. Not sure which, either.
  • I say mixture of both. Everyone is different. Baby still may be fairly small but your uterus is growing daily to make room for growing baby. Some bloat, some baby = some belly! I'm about to hit 11 weeks and have owned a belly band for awhile now due to my jeans no longer wanting to fasten. :-SS
  • I'm 12 weeks and am completely showing lol its bump and bloat combined

I wake up looking normal tummy wise but by the end of the day I look bloated/pregnant. Happens every morning and night :) I am already in maternity pants because of it.
  • Im 11 weeks and as of two days ago i would say im showing. I have strong abs so its not just chubby tummy. That being said im having twins so there is alot more growth inaide of me. It amazes me that in a matter of days i went from just looking normal to hard tummy. Its not big and im in the stage where anyone that doesnt know me wouldnt say anything but those that do know me have noticed.
  • I think I officially "popped" yesterday (11w5d). I'm a pretty small person so I guess there wasn't much room for the bump to hide. It literally popped out in about a two-hour timespan though (I had/have a retroverted uterus so maybe it just flipped over? I have no idea, I am totally guessing on that one. But I can't imagine what else could possibly account for the invisible-one-minute, there-the-next effect).

My husband says it just looks like I'm walking around sticking my stomach out. I think maybe he was a little disappointed when I was all "woah where did THIS come from?!" because he was expecting a BIG bump, and it is not a big bump. It's just a bump.

But it's there and it's not going away.
