Possible ectopic pregnancy

I posted my "scary night" a few days ago and got so much support from everyone. I'm asking for everyone's T&P today. I got a call this morning from my doctor that my hcg levels were not doubling, just remaining the same and they were concerned about an ectopic pregnancy. I'm going in this morning for an US. I have this feeling that my horrible pains the other night were related to this. They were not normal pains but with my high hcg levels and no bleeding, the doctors weren't concerned.... But now they are. This will be my 3rd MC and I'm preparing mentally for the worst.

    Thanks everyone. I just got back from the doctor. They couldn't find an obvious sign of ectopic pregnancy, they couldn't rule it out either. They said that it was too early to see anything else. Basically I have no answers, it is a horrible feeling! They said go to the ER if I experience sharp pains before my next ultrasound next Thursday. What they were concerned about and what made them think ectopic pregnancy was that my hcg levels went from 136 to only 174 in 48 hours, so it's not looking good. I'm hoping for a miracle but I need to prepare myself for the worse. Anyone heard of good out comes with slow rising hcg levels?

    Oh no! I'm so sorry, it sounds like a very scary situation. I have not heard any stories of slow rising HCG but I wouldn't lose hope. I'll be praying that you get your miracle. Will they still check your HCG until the next US?

    I definitely have heard good outcomes with slow and steady risers. However, I couldn't tell you exactly what those levels were. All I can tell you is that you're pregnant today.

    I hope and pray for the best for you! I went in once thinking I had an ectopic (sharp pains, some were in my back) and it ended up being a ruptured ovarian cyst. Whatever it is, I hope it's not ectopic and that this little one hangs in there! Hugs!

    I know, not knowing really is the worst part @Howardbae2015 it's a good thing that you're getting your HCG monitored. I remember your story well because it happened the same night as my scare and I just got back from getting my blood drawn to follow up HCG. I have my fingers crossed for you and I have you in my thoughts so let us know of any changes. Praying for that miracle here!
