Looking for others that have experienced this or are in the same situation. I'm a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding in early June. I am due at the end of April so depending on when baby arrives I could have a 4 week - 6 week old. I have been instructed to order my dress by the end of the month and I have no idea what size I am going to need. Has anyone else been in this situation? How many sizes up did you order and or how many sizes did you drop within 4-6 weeks after birth? I don't want to order my dress too large for alteration costs as the dress is already very expensive, and obviously I don't want to order too small.

I would be wary of ordering anything to wear 4-6 post-partum right now.

Order up! And alter if you need to... Good luck
Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses....
All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!

Everyone is different, so no one's answers are really going to help you. BUT FWIW - I was below my pre pregnancy weight 8 days post partum and immediately was able to wear my pre pregnancy clothes.
Can you order it with a corset rather than a zip?
Everyone is different, so you're not going to get a good answer here. I would personally order WAY too big and then get it altered. I was in my sister's wedding at 38 weeks and I ordered my dress SUPER big because I had no idea how I'd carry. I had to get it majorly altered, but it looked good that day and fit properly.
I went to my 6 week post-birth doctor appointment in a pair of pre-pregnancy jeans and only had 5lbs left to lose, which came off as soon as I started exercising again. I exclusively breastfeed and I worked out throughout my pregnancy - daily. Like I literally was at a pilates reformer lesson four days before giving birth. However, another women could have this EXACT set of circumstances and a completely different outcome. I know you don't want to deal with alterations, but unless your brother is cool with you buying a dress off the rack the week before the wedding, I'd suggest you budget alterations in and order several sizes up, just to be safe.
I'm also in a wedding as a bridesmaid only 6 weeks after my projected due date, but (thankfully!!) it's a very relaxed and informal wedding, so my current plan is to either wear something I already have in a prepregnancy size (if I can fit in it then) or grab something nice off the rack afterward. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like this will be an option if you're having to coordinate matchy dresses with the other bridesmaids.
Can you add a shawl or wrap to your ensemble? That might help disguise an imperfect fit, especially up top, and it's easy to set aside if you end up not needing it.

My only concern would be the color pallet. If they are black or grey, they are likely to carry them all year, but I do know they have some pretty seasonal lines that may or may not be in stock all year long.
