June 2016 Moms

First time

Hi so I just wanted to say hi and give my short story! I got a positive test four days before my period. I took it at night so was not expecting it to be positive. We had been kinda just letting it happen for the last year but once it didn't happen on its own the first 9 months my doctor did some tests. Found out I wasn't ovulating on my own so I had to do the clomid I only needed it two months and it worked!! So it actually only took us exactly one year. I am so excited yet so nervous all at the same time. I keep thinking it isn't real and to good to be true! I'm exactly five weeks today according to my lmp. I'm counting the days to my first appointment! According to my lmp I'm due on June 27th. Hoping to hear some other stories :)

  • Congrats!  FTM here too, had pregnancy confirmation appointment.  After my crazy husband insisted on 9 pee sticks at home (yes, 9 over the course of about 5 days because he didn't believe that one positive was enough) I got to pee in a cup and get another positive.  Tomorrow I have a transvaginal u/s to try and hear a heartbeat.  Right now my due date is June 14th.  When is your first appointment?
  • congrats and welcome!
  • Congrats and welcome! Just for future reference you may want to use the search function and read the posts on clomid by @TheBorg7of9 I am a bit warry that it sounds like your not 100% sure when you ovulated. The RE should be monitoring you very closely when taking clomid for your health and the health of your future little ones! Hope you have a happy and healthy 9
  • Well I kinda thought that to. I took the clomid then on day 12 of my cycle I went in for the follicle ultrasound and they saw three eggs so then I did an ovulation test everyday like four times a day I got my positive ovulation test on Sunday night so I assumed I ovulated Monday or Tuesday. I have read so much about clomid and I did see an article where they were monitoring the patient sooner. I will be 7w4d at my first doctor appointment. I would have thought they knew if that would be okay or not. Maybe I'll call today and make sure I don't need to come in sooner.
  • My first appointment isn't until Nov 13 and I'll be 7w4d. It can't come soon enough
