How do you do it? Every day feels interminable. Obviously, I know I won't actually die of fatigue and morning sickness, and I've survived working while pregnant twice before...but wowsers. One of the docs I work with just told me I look exhausted and unwell this morning...I blamed it on the house guests I have at home right now (which truthfully isn't helping, but it was arranged before I found out I was pregnant).
Thankfully, my kids are 8 & 10, so relatively self-sufficient. I've been in bed EARLY - 8 o'clock last night, but wake up repeatedly throughout the night with nausea. And work. Oh work. The commute, the patients, the computer, the phones. I drink loads of seltzer, and have been sipping snapple for a little caffeine boost (can't stomach coffee), which helps a bit.
Any other tips?

I'm definitely trying to eat frequently. Thank God I'm in New York, and there's a good bagel place next to my office...plain bagels are about the only thing appealing right now...
Are my fingers supposed to do this typing thing? Because it's not happening. I'll just vent on the bump instead.
I have no idea how you moms with littles at the house do it. I'm done with life by the time I get home. I can't imagine needing to care for someone else. Luckily DH is self-sufficient and lets me sleep.
I am actually contemplating going into the nursing mothers room at my office and taking a nap. I am one of very few women here, and there is only one other pregnant woman. There are a small handful of ladies here that know I'm pregnant and have actually told me to take a nap in there if I need to.
I may actually take their advice for once and do it. And I won't even feel guilty about it.
I wish I had a room I could nap in. Or more than 1/2 an hr for lunch so I could eat and nap.
I haven't told anyone at work. All the women my age don't want kids and think they are evil and would ruin their life. And everyone else has kids that are basically out of the house already. weird dynamic.
I am so looking forward to my mom being here this weekend. We are telling them then and I know she will cook something Cajun for me and let me sleep.
It's happening.
*ETA I just realized how many times I used the word "actually" in my original comment. Uffda.
Sorry, I'm from Minnesota
Carry on with your napping selves!
"Are you still in bed? Are you ok?"
um... not in bed...oh, I'm fine...
I was just doing paperwork? In my robe?
And not drinking wine is a dead giveaway. I always have wine with dinner. And the kids are starting to think something is weird - why no coffee, mom? Don't you want wine? You look tired, mommy...
Can't wait to tell family, it will make life so much easier, and a little tea & sympathy never hurts!!!
Of course, I now chase a 2 year old all day... That's probably a contributing factor... #sotired
I am from (and currently live in) Minnesota also. Ya sure you betcha
I napped for the rest of you too...anybody feel refreshed yet? I don't.
Thanks for napping for the group--I think I'm about to pick up where you left off. Involuntarily. In my chair. I-)
I'm usually one to be so conscious of an alarm coming that I don't actually sleep, I just doze in little snatches. No bueno. No one wins.
@kor121: Nice! I like it.
I work from home, so the only indication I'm not working would be if my IM status indicator changes to "away". So theoretically I *could* nap undisturbed, but then I'd just wake up behind on my work. Hmph.
