Pregnancy acne. What do you use?

Hi all! I am now 9 weeks and my acne is still going strong. Lots of white heads, and cysts.

What type of over the counter products do you use? Face wash, spot treatments, etc.

Re: Pregnancy acne. What do you use?

  • Witch Hazel.  Worked like a miracle overnight!  Haven't had it get out of control since I started using it a few weeks ago.  I was worried about safety but apparently all the risk is to people who drink it as a tonic.  My doc said completely safe to use once a day.

  • Murad. They have a fast spot acne fix cream and I love it. My chin was gross yesterday (lots of little pimples) and they are gone this morning. This could be because I feel asleep without washing my face Saturday night too. Generally whatever pops up after that goes away pretty quickly.
  • I use the neutragena pink face wash 2x daily, tea tree oil as a spot treatment and coconut oil as a nightly moisturizer. I've been meaning to add witch hazel to my repertoire.

  • Witch hazel as a toner and tea tree oil for spot treatment!
  • Washing my face with baking soda (1/2 tsp) and honey (1tsp) followed with a toner of diluted acv has really helped get rid of all my zits ...black red and white!
  • Yes, tea tree oil is great as a spot treatment
  • Thanks for the info ladies! This is literally my lip this morning from acne. I didn't know it could be so bad!
  • I wash with Cetaphil- super gentle. Then I use a cream from A brand called Arithmetic- ordered online. Not too harsh like some intended for ance meds for teenagers! This is definitely for adult skin, and has been working pretty well for me!

  • I'll have to try tea tree oil.  I read that salicylic acid and peroxide were not good for baby, so I had to cut those out of my routine.
  • Yeah, the tea tree oil really works for me. I started with a berts bees roll on one. Now I just refill the roller with straight tea tree oil and a little grape seed oil.

  • I use Nerium and Caravelle works like a charm. :)
  • My skin is a mess. I bought be belli face wash and spot treatment which I used last pregnancy and they seem useless. Some of your posts reminded me though I have the burts bees tea tree and I need to give that another shot.
