1st Trimester

Comfy Bras?

I'm in my first trimester and want to find a comfy cheaper (like target, Walmart etc..) bra to wear as I slowly grow....anyone have any recommendations? My first pregnancy I went straight to the maternity store and splurged... TIA

Re: Comfy Bras?

  • They have nursing sleep bras I've been living in literally. At target

  • I went from a 34 b to a 36 dd! Im 24 weeks amd they keep growing out of every maternity bra i been through 3! So i moved on to sports bras.... I recommend target for them i also wear a cheap no wire bra under them for extra support. Also if you have the extra money to spend i went to Victoria secrets the other week got sport bras from there that have support built in (also target sell similar ones but I didn't find as comfy) and got a size bigger then i am now its the most comfortable! I think nursing bras/ maternity bras are a waste of money since they are so expensive and our bodies are going to be growing and changing so nothing fits to long :( .... But thats just my thoughts!

I bought a few Ambrielle seamless bralettes from JCP to sleep in. I found that my boobs needed better containment while I slept. They're very comfortable and wash well. Here's a link: https://www.jcpenney.com/ambrielle-seamless-bralette/prod.jump?ppId=pp5005770163

I wore a 38D pre-pregnancy and bought the XL. They fit, but there's also room to grow.

I'm still looking for something to wear to work under my clothing - I'm a big fan of the Body by Victoria lined underwire and it's all I've worn for years, but I refuse to spend $40-50+ on a bra I'll likely outgrow. I do not want wire free for the workday - I don't like the way my boobs feel when they're unsupported. :-(

*Confession: I copied/pasted this from another post I commented on about bras because I'm too freakin' lazy to retype. There were several other people who commented about various other brands. You might look a page or so back for that other post for more ideas and info.

  • Gap has comfy, stretchy sports bras that I wear about 23 hours a day, 7 days a week :)
  • ILoveSIA bras on Amazon - there's a 3 pack for $30.  They're incredibly comfy.
