Donating Blood while TTC?!?

Hello all,
 I signed up for a Blood drive Friday 10/23. I will be in my 2WW and my Dr told me that i can donate if i want to but i wanted to get some opinions on this. I just dont want to lower my chances of conceiving but I have 0(-) blood so i feel i need to donate.

    If your doc said it was ok then I'd go ahead with it. I do understand the feeling of not wanting to do ANYTHING that might risk it!

    TTC#1 since July 2014
    AMH 0.1, DOR, Poor responder
    Moved to Prague, Czech Republic for IVF
    2 Natural IVF cycles, 3 full IVF cycles, 4 transfers, 1 BFP - heard heartbeat at 6w5d
    Diagnosed MMC at 9w1d on 11/30/15
    Headed back home to Colorado 12/12/15

    DE attempt in Czech Republic!! 

    March trip to Prague canceled due to Pancreatitis. :sob:
    Headed to Prague April 30
    3 different donors resulted in 1 PGS tested embryo and 1 fresh embryo
    2 embryo's transferred (from 2 different donors) on 5/10/16
    BFP on 5/15/16 at 5dp5dt
    Beta 1 = 81 at 8dp5dt, Beta 2 = 295 at 10dp5dt, Beta 3 = 891 at 12dt5dt. Beta 4 = 2114 at 14dp5dt, Beta 5 = 4916 at 16dp5dt, Beta 6 = 13252 at 19dp5dt
    Heartbeat at 6w5d 133BPM <3
    We are having a GIRL!!! Due Jan 26, 2017

    So i decided it was not a good idea to donate blood while trying to conceive! I found the following info and also the nurse in the blood mobile advised me not to!

    "That's funny you posted that question because I am the operations supervisor for my local blood bank. It is absolutely not a good idea to donate while trying to conceive. Just how you need all of your blood during pregnancy, you should keep it while ttc. It can lower your iron, take away nutrients that your body needs while ttc. If you should happen to implant after donating blood, it could take away from the process of the embryo developing. In short, anyone at the blood bank may tell you different, but I will tell you first hand, it's no good for you or your potential developing fetus! XxBabyDustxX" i found this on another forum!
