Today at my scheduled OB visit I failed my NST. I take two NSTs a week due to my Velamentous cord insertion. It has been explained each passing NST means LO can stay in the womb longer and there aren't any concerns. Well I failed due to lack of activity. She was a little active just not where the doctor wanted it to be. So I had to come back for an biophysical profile. In the meantime, I had my visit with the doctor, got tested for Strep-B, and he checked my cervix for the first time. I'm 2 cm dilated at 35 weeks and 4 days. I asked if that was good or normal considering my cord insertion. He said yes especially if I were to be induced early. After my visit I did the BPP and almost failed due to LO not practicing her diaphragm breathing. She eventually did when I thought the tech was gonna get the doctor. I got so nervous I was gonna get induced today! I need to pack my last hospital bag, do some house cleaning, and install the car seat. If I ever needed motivation to finish nesting today was it.
Also, my sinus drainage is a full blown cold. It's been quite the day.
