My 5 month old rejects her father everytime he comes home from college. We video chat every night. When he holds her she scream until he puts her down. Why is she doing this ?

    She just doesn't know him, how often is he home?

    My lil girl has stranger anxiety too, she used to hate my in laws but i found that it helps if she is in the same room with them for a while then they can talk to her while she's on her mat then they pick her up. Try that or see what works dor your lo

    He is only home during the holidays but we video everyday and when he talks to her throw video she smiles and talks to him but in person she just cry everytime he holds her

    Maybe she needs to get used to his scent. Maybe when you hold her sometimes have one of his sweatshirts or t shirts nearby for her to smell?

    Video chatting is different than in person obviously. You can't expect for her to know him at 5 months old when he's there so little.

    My daughter does that with her dad too she's attached to me too much. He lives with us and she goes nuts if I leave the room. So weird
